On my second playthrough I decided to use the console to give my warrior a duelist specialization.  He wields 2 handed swords, does anyone know if this is compatible?  Quite honestly I can't tell in game

Duelist is rogue specialisation, warriors can't get it. Unless console is *that* much different from PC version :-P

If you're going to cheat to give a warrior the duelist spec - why not just play a rogue and get it? I have nothing against cheating as such, some consider the respec mod I use a cheat. I'm just genuinely curious. If you want to be a duelist, why not a rogue duelist?

It's probably because maybe he has a liking for 2h swords. I know if you don't have any objections to eventually slaying Ser Cauthrien you get a very nice 2hander.
*Sob, sniff*...I still feel sorry for killing her, she was only trying to save her heinous mentor Loghain. Posted Image
I guess I heard "Warden, in the name of the regent I'm placing you under arrest for the murder of Rendon Howe and his men-at-arms' a little bit too often. I let her get away with it because I wanted to play the Drakon thing. Eventually her ranting went a little bit overboard at the landsmeet and I was like "draw steel girl, you had this coming to ya".
Oh and a 2h Starfang isn't all too bad to have as well.
But you're right there Susan, dualist specialization is meant for rogues only.
