Hi I recently got the game from digital download and unfortunately the file den270_weylon.fsb is corrupt and wont let me install, Ive already downloaded twice and I still get the corrupt file version. If someone could send me a correct file and possibly some instructions on he work-around it would be much appreciated

EDIT: just got the game installed by taking out that file, does anyone know if this will lead to problems down the line or can i play around it?

That is a file to do with an area in the game. Chances are that when you reach Weylons house in Denerim you will get a File not Found error and crash. This is regrettable, because I'm fairly sure that you have to go there.

Actually, fsb files are to do with the voice over, so you may get away with it. Just save before talking to anyone in Denerim.

Actually now I cant get any voices or even characters to move their mouths, could it be the one missing file or a seperate issue?

It's possible that the install ignored all voice over files when installing... I think the fsb files also generate the lip syncing, so that explains that. Go to C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Dragon Age\\modules\\single player\\audio\\vo\\en-us\\vo (or whereever steam installs the game to). How many files are there? I have 2,368 files (seems like a fsb and a fev for each conversation).

Um what digital download service?

If it was Steam you could try checking file integrity, otherwise you may have to completely uninstall it and try to re-install.

Now if you didn't get this from any E-tailer, I'd suggest asking where you got it from.

Just a thought, someone else seems to have had a similar issue. Try running the install in Administrator mode.

hey cool. kinda followed that idea tangent, apparently it installed in the wrong directory, a simple copy and paste and we're up and running. Thanks for all your help everyone, and if anyone is willing to send me the missing file just post below in the next day or two, it would be appreciated

OK. I have a problem similar to this. I downloaded the game via the EAStore, and had a corrupt file in the audio.rar file.

packages\\core\\audio\\sound\\music_bank_strm_new.fsb

My solution was to unzip the file with winrar, and then rezip the file, and then add it to the data setup folder. The install ran smoothly after that. I have two questions, though.

1. When I unzipped the file, winrar couldn't unzip the audio file I specified above because it was corrupt, and it gave me a little cut and paste dialogue. Did winrar skip that file and unzip all the others, or am I missing other FSB files?

2. Is anyone willing to e-mail me the corrupt file I specified above?
