I hope you're prepared to say that every third-party contribution to any franchise in existence has 'no respect for fans,' then. Because small errors of the sort are pretty much inevitable in such things.

Im not saying the movie is bad, as people say its at last decent and i havent seen it. Im talking about quality control, from bioware.

There isnt that much 3rd party contributions to ME3, really. it cant be so difficult to check it. After Deception...
sigh.
They are definitely not small errors. More glaring errors. You can't defend it.

You're saying they should take people of the main team during making ME3 to double check on 3rd parties?

Necroing this thread to point out the collectors' origins being retconned. In ME2 it was established that collectors were the result of a long and gradual process of implantation of tech by the reapers. As indoctrinated protheans' minds decayed, the reapers gradually genetically rewrote them and added tech to compensate. In this film, collectors are simply portrayed as prothean husks which are transformed immediately from captured (non indoctrinated) protheans. Also, the anthropomorphic language of the collectors was ridiculous.

Nothing in the movies retconned that.

You're not getting that the game also protrays the collectors as prothean husk.

Ignoring the mistakes, I think it was really great.

I don't like the art style, it's completly unsuited to Mass Effect.

For example...

^ Yeah, I've just watched the movie myself (I just could not keep away from it), and that really bothered me. The art style just didn't fit, and I felt there was a noticeable lack of detail.

I may go into more details later as I sum up my views on the film. All I'll say right now is that, to be fair, it's not the most horrible piece of Mass Effect tie-in material (that "honour" belongs to Deception), as at least it does manage to be entertaining with some fun action scenes and giving some much-needed context to Vega's role in ME3. However, there are some pretty serious flaws with the story, not just with the lax treatment of the lore and established facts but how it seems to be doing its level best to render Mass Effect 2 entirely bloody pointless (seriously, I get the strong feeling now that you could skip that game entirely and just jump from ME1 to ME3 without damaging the story in the slightest). It wouldn't be unreasonable to say that the flubs would only be likely to bother hardcore series nerds like myself, but it's yet more conclusive proof that Bioware needed the equivalent of a story editor, someone who could come in not just with the games but the spin-off material too to yell at the writers when they were making contradictory or self-indulgent tripe, and tell them to go back and start again.

It showed them being instantly huskified in the movie, thus a retcon. And collectors are not created the way husks are (dead bodies being filled with nanites on dragons teeth) - they are gradually implanted and mutated while still alive - as indoctrination degenerates them, they are upgraded.
