Ok, so i had this ****ty computer, right? i installed my big brothers Mass Effect game on it, Configuration crash, patched it, tried to play, IMPORTANT MESSAGE The Activation Code has been used or something, so i buy my own copy for my computer, same crash, patch it, then start playing it, guess what? Mass Effect starts laughing at my computer by glitching in the opening scene, OKAY! I don't bother playing it, so then i finally get my big brothers massive tower with amazing graphics card and stuff, go to play the game, crash, patch, and IMPORTANT MESSAGE You Activation key is invalid or whatever, I AM NOT BUYING ANOTHER VERSION OF THIS FREAKING GAME! Go to EA Help and tell them you hit your activation limit – they should increase it for you.

So.... you've found the bit that says this is a social forum for fans and players not BioWare/EA staff who can give you a code like you're asking for, and the other bit that says fan/player tech support now happens at a completely different forum called Answers HQ, right? No worries. Here, try these.

The BioWare Game Support link actually goes to EA Game Support. Or it's supposed to. If it went to the old tech help forums on the boards here then apologies but it's supposed to go to EA. That's not a forum so you shouldn't need to post anything anywhere. It's just a case of logging in with the same ID you use at the forums here, putting in "Mass Effect" where it says "What is your game" (or something like that), clicking the right responses for platform etc and asking for Live Chat. That's basically what I did when I was getting ME2 DLC "Activation code already in use" problems. The Live Chat guy reset it or upped the limit for uses or something and I was playing the game not much more than ten or fifteen minutes later.

http://activate.ea.com/deauthorize/

I did a little searching, and this link might help you. Apparently it's supposed to free up one of your used installs; don't know if it's still functional, but it's worth a shot if nothing else works out for you.
