Exactly. I mean, "those strippers" put up a much stiffer fight than the alliance did. Now, just imagine if Liara (or any other alien) cracked a joke about all the dying humans on earth...nothing short of the airlock would be appropriate.

The Quarians being destroyed is hard to compare to the invasion of Thessia. On the one hand an entire species was just mostly wiped out, on the other a few million people get killed(less than 1% of the population).

The reason why I think Joker's joke was appropriate is the "We Asari are special, we've never been invaded before and it's such a big tragedy our beautiful Thessia is invaded. But who cares about the rest of the galaxy?" attitude. Most Asari seemed to barely bat an eye if another planet was attacked and they couldn't even fathom a possible invasion of Thessia. This hubris is despicable.

To be fair the humans had the same exact attitude. While Palaven burned Shepard and Udina were shouting that they needed Turian fleets to save Earth.

You can even call the Quarians stupid or something afterwards. It's like pissing on their graves. I forgot what the line was.. I know EDI liked it though.

"That big fireball is my home town burning".
"Yeah garrus, like cool story, can you abandon this dump and come save us. Also joker says if you all didn't have sticks up your arses maybe it wouldn't have happened.  Serves you right for being so hubristic about your military eh? Ha ha ha."

Personally, I never wanted Garrus to save anyone but his own people. As much as I liked him and Tali in 1 and 2, it doesn't escape me that everyone else I liked is gone for the exact same reasons (Jack and Grunt command their own groups, but apparently, Quarians and Turians don't need the same treatment by the writers).

How much of a fight would those strippers put up  if the reapers went to Thessia first instead of Earth?

As far as laughing at millions dying, the stupid Asari government didn't care about their own people not to reveal the artifact until it was too late. So in a way they were laughing at their own people since all they cared about is retaining their number 1 ranking.

If T'soni said the joke I most likely would want to yell and as you say throw her out the airlock. I was more upset that I couldn't say anything to her for her stupid comment about if the Alliance provided air support line. I wanted to smash her face with the butt end of my weapon.

I'm ont really sure what this statement is based on.  Liara is clearly very upset about both Earth and Palaven, and I don't see what other Asari we talk to enough to get that impression from.

How about the Asari councilor? If they actually cared one bit for anyone but themselves they'd have revealed the prothean beacon before Thessia was invaded. I never got the impression that Liara was "very upset" about the invasion of the other homeworlds at all. At the most she expresses her condolences once or twice. Aside from that the Asari seem to constantly emphasize on the shock that someone dared to invade them. Both the councilor and Liara seemed to be impossible to comprehend an attack on Thessia by the Reapers.

"I never thought Thessia would be invaded!"
"Goddess this is terrible, my homeworld!"
"Thessia has never been invaded before!"

We all know that if the reapers invaded Thessia first the Asari Councilor would be demanding (not asking) the support of the other council races. Just look at Liara saying that line abut that air support, never mind the fact that the Asari never asked for help, never extended help to earth, palaven or anywhere else, and revealed crucial knowledge only when their own borders were breached.  liara never should have even been to Thessia anyway or I should have had the option to drop her off there and pick another squadmate to go since she wanted to go so bad.

Then again they are a race of biotics each asari is equiped with a weapon. wouldn't they fare better than an unarmed human civilian. technically husks cant 1 on 1 any asari?

i doubt their laughing but you seem to project your self laughing at millions dying. remember defending our borders. did the asari government know about the value of the artifact. last time i check only shepard can understand beacons. arent their thousands of sites not just on thessia? theres one on palaven? and a dozen other planets.

But the Asari never did ask support from the alliance or any other race? Liara alone provided the asari support though? ALL THE WHILE THE ASARI ARE EVACUATING "HUMAN COLONIES." and " the asari are providing logistics fuel to the human alliance fleet and turian fleet?" and yet not asking once for the assistance of others.

Asari held ther own against the reapers? no krogan support? i guess turian battle buddies cant hold their own **** together in combet. they needed to learn a thing or two from strippers.

This. It's really absurd when people get mad at Liara (or the asari) for caring more about her own species, as everyone (including Shepard, Tali and the other squaddies) did exactly the same. Not to mention that Hackett says the Asari have "stepped up to the plate" immediately after the coup. So about the same time as the Turians and Krogan (just like Tevos promised). The Salarians sat on the sidelines unless you sabotaged the cure. Humanity's contribution to the war was being overrun by the Reapers and an attempted galactic coup. Wrex and Wreav demand the cure and later new colonies, the Quarians are going to war in the middle of a Reaper invasion, etc.

The Asari didnt even know the significance of that beacon. last time i checked only shepard can see understand the beacon? are'nt their hundereds of beacons scattered all around, one on khaje another on palaven. whos to know the info on the catalyst was there.

they did care more than you know. asari where evacuating human colonies
asari providing support for turian and human fleets.

hmm liara did talk about a turian and the mountains of palaven. and that they were burning? not express much? maybe. or did you skip all her dialogue in your playthroughs?

Just accept the fact that the Asari messed up by not revealing the artifact earlier that could've/would've saved lives.

theres is always two sides to a coin my friend. gambling on the asari beacon having info on the catalyst was luck. since there are hundreds of beacons out there. asari didn't even know what that beacon meant. but here's one took the humans a while to find the data on the crucible. wait no the humans didnt even try. liara alone found the data?

any hu i like how you generalize that again. "the asari messed up?" are you refering to all asari civilians, colonist, local leaders and children. how does a FEW in the government that doesnt even know the significance of what it has. codemn an entire race.

She kinda did, "Next time we go to war maybe the Alliance can spring for air support"

Every species in ME thinks about itself primarily. Turians will only help if they get help in exchange. Krogans will only help when the genophage is cured (Wrex doesn't care if some Turians go extinct). Salarians only if the cure is sabotaged. Quarians use the opportunity to get their homeworld back instead of supporting the war efford.
So the Asari counsilor is an ass. Big deal given how the whole counsil has been presented. You want to hate a whole race because of their counsilor? Well, there is this one counsilor who, if the original counsil is killed in ME1 shapes a new one which his species dominates. Or the one, who later betrays the counsil to cerberus to save his species.

So now I'm your friend? Thanks for the laugh. Doesn't matter if the Asari knew what the beacon was for they hid it from the rest of the galaxy by not reporting it. Isn't there a law that says when a prothean artifact is found it's reported?

to start another rebellion i doubt the krogan would do that. but then the krogan know who their real friends are?

asari never made the genophage, and the asari never used it on the krogan.
last i checked the salarians uplifted the krogan to fight the rachini and made the genophage to kill them. while the turians used the genophage they planted a bomb on tuchanka.

what did the asari do?

asari never choose sides when curing the genophage.

but i wonder who didnt allow the krogan statue to removed on the citadel.

asari continue to celebrate the end of the rachni war acknowledging the krogan.

that right there is master in strategy at work.

Who said anything about a rebellion?  I plan on giving it to them.

And their real friends are the ones wo encouraged the genophage to be cured, humans and turians

so whos in charge of the krogan are we talking about reave or is wrex in charge? either way your plan wont work?

turians may have wanted the genophage cured but that was to use krogan as "cannon fodder"?

Wrex won't say no to new planets

So?  They still got it cured and thats all the krogan are likely to remember
