Have you ever been tired of seeing some certain person in your lobby? I've found a way to make sure you never have to see that person again in a lobby; all you have to do is add them to your friends list.
When you add them it prevents you from even accidentally being put to the same lobby.
What about the join game button? Don't worry, they'll just get stuck on the joining game screen for all eternity or until they alt+F4. The same works for any accidental game invites you might send them. EA/Bioware's got your back.

Tl;dr Can't play with friends, what gives?

Anyone else experiencing anything similar? I've tried pretty much everything the internet suggested I do to fix this and nothing sticks. Any advice would be grately appreciated. Answer HQ didn't help either. Help me  Obi-wan Forums, you're my only hope.

Thank you. I will wear that badge with honour.
Btw, my first post ever on BSN, not that it really matters.

What does it say when they try to join your game? Have you tried joining their games?  Do you both have all the same DLC?

Have a third player host.

You don't have to Alt+F4 to get out of the joining game screen. Try to join the game again and then hit exit when you get to the character select screen. Are you or your friends playing in a household with more than one person playing ME3? I've found that if either of my housemates are playing too then the last person to start up the game must host or others can't join.

Anything silly about your internet? Sharing with other ppl? College internet? Fun firewalls?

Oh, I'm playing on PC. We have all the DLC. Embarrassingly enough, I have only one active friend playing at the moment(forever alone). Can't join the same lobby for whatever reason.

My internet works just fine, all other games are running smooth without connection issues.

ME3 Multiplayer is the only game I'm having trouble with. Only one person playing.

Lol? Since when?
I used to quick join my friends in a specific map, location, difficulty purely because it was faster than joining with the big orange button...

Because we didn't have 4 so would pug 1-2 spots.

Had this issue with someone. For a while I couldn't join him, then one day I was able to. Then some months later it stopped working.. so I opened that port listed above. Some people still have trouble joining his host, so I have to host, then they all can join my game.

Does your friend have that port open also?

If you guys are on right now, I could try hosting for you so you can at least play a few together. My ID is in my sig.

Just a suggestion, but when things go wrong with ME3, I try the repair install option in Origin. Sometimes that corrects whatever is causing problems. If you like, you can add me on Origin as a friend and I can create a lobby to see if you can join it? Origin ID: Hretha

We tried doing that but instead of putting us in the same lobby the game decided I should be put in to an empty lobby, as host so my friend can't join.

Repairing now. Would like to see if this is a problem with just my one friend and not other people, adding you now.

We both opened the port a while ago, didn't fix the problem. Too bad he isn't online right now.

Sometimes it doesn't work. Sometimes it does. Sometimes I even enter a PUG lobby and discover someone from friend list.

I've had people on my friends list join my lobby through a PUG. I don't know what you're talking about.

Thanks for the link. I've done some of the things the thread says but this allows me to check if I've made a mistake.
