Hello.

Anyone know if the sarcastic options are going to make a comback? Because I found them so much fun and just the kind of character I want to RP as, instead of being mr. Serious all the time.

So any word on this?

Seconded. I immediately gravitated toward the snark - even (especially?) when it offended some NPCs.

Yeah, trying to cheer up someone when their son just died by saying "Hey, atleast this day can't get any worse" isn't the best course of action. :D

No one said you have to be snarky all the time.   My rogue character was snarky 90% of the time and about 10% diplomatic when a wise crack seemed inappropriate.

But you should be able, if you want. I wasn't snarky all the time, but there I wanted to see what happens. And I laughed, especialy because of what that red haired chick... what's her name again? Avalion... Avalon? Aveline? Something like that, said.

No, give me neutral first. Then you can have those 'snarky' lines.

I must admit my favourite jokes were the ones that only Hawke laughed at because I tend to be that awkward person making inapropriate jokes that almost no one else gets. Exasperated companions are a plus.

Like a Tranquil or like a qunari?
Diplomatic and Aggressive =/=Paragon and Renegade.

If the snarky lines don't make a comeback in Dragon Age 3 I will eat my own shoe. Dominant purple Hawke seems to be massively popular.

Haha, yeah same here.

Hm, let's hope you are right.

...shoes don't taste very good, I should know!

He propably means stuff like "Whatever, I don't care what you guys fight here about, let's go for the main subject.", if you catch my drift.

They aren't too shabby if you add enough ketchup!

"If they're not dead, watch out for a bunch of boneless women flopping through the streets." - the look on Emeric's face was priceless.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that next time.

I think the next protagonist should have a different sense of humour from Hawke. Not because Hawke's humour was bad, but just because they're different people.

I like that idea.

Dry humor this time around?

I desperately want the snark back, but I'm not sure if anything can top "Tell them I died at Chateau Haine!!!" *camera pans up over-dramatically*

I'd like dry humour if they go with something different to Hawke's irreverent sarcasm. I'd like something along the lines of Blackadder III when Blackadder gets away with insulting characters right under their noses.

Dry would be dandy; I probably went with Snarky Hawke because it was the closest I could get to it, but I really prefer my humor neat.

I actualy liked his obnoxious humor, that's closer to me. But this is RPG, so dry humor would be awesome.

Like BigEvil said, Blackadder is a nice way to look at it. :)

I'm a smartass in real life, so I do hope we get the sarcastic personality again.

I love snark and dry humor. Seeing both in the game would be great!

Unless Bioware has lost all sense of humor, I see no reason to think snarky lines will not be back.

"Doesn't anyone know? We hate the French Orlesians! We fight wars against them! Did all those men die in vain on the field of Agincourt the Battle of the River Dane? Was the man who burnt Joan of Arc Leliana simply wasting good matches?

Also, if we pick snarky personality we should get a dimwitted servant named Baldrick at our castles so we can say things like "by the time I get back from adventuring I want that table so clean I could eat my dinner off of it" to him.

I really disliked the middle dialogue options in DA2. You just never knew if your character was going to say something clever or just make a really really bad joke. I probably picked the "snarky" options in Origins more, since you already knew what the line was and weren't playing a game of bad-joke-roulette.
