No wonder you guys hate the endings.

To unlock the REAL ending you must use this cheat code during the Harbinger run scene:

A, X, A, Y, left d-pad, right d-pad, right bumper, right bumber, left bumper, B, A, X, select, start button, B, A, X, Y

Trust me, this ending was exclusive to people who pre-ordered at the Gamestop in Antarctica. I'll probably get assassinated by the polar bears now.

This would've been funnier:

No thanks.

If I used those icons then the polar bears would have had an easier time tracking my posts.

These people aren't playing the game anymore because they are passionate about it's story.  They just want to see a part of it change and so they wait here, hoping for a change.

If by change, you mean for them to rewrite the ending, that's not going to happen unfortunately. The Extended Cut was their compromise. They said anyone who didn't enjoy it should move on. I know people around here aren't going to, but thing is fans could waste 5 years begging for change, and it would never come. So why not do something meaningful? I get this feeling that fans feel they are owed something, and they won't stop until they get what they want. In other words, they feel entitled to certain things.

If you don't play Mass Effect 3 anymore, why are you still here? I mean this is sort of a discussion forum for people who are actively playing and are passionate about the game. If you were passionate about this game you'd still be playing it, but you're not. So, can you see my point?

Bioware should do something similar with what Blizzard does where you have to be actively playing the game in order to post on their forums. Not just have the game registered to your account, because that makes it too easy to post. In Blizzard's case with WoW, an active subscription. Sure would cut down on the weird threads.

I should go put that in their suggestion box or something.

I never actually said that.

Well with any product, you would know that you can't satisfy everyone. Anyone who says everyone must be satisfied isn't thinking about this realistically.

For example, if they did give you what you wanted and filled in every piece of the story, then the other people are going to be upset because the writers didn't leave some open to interpretation. Some were even upset because they caved and did the EC instead of leaving the original ending open. So see, they can't please everyone.

I'm guessing you're under 30 years of age. It's the Konami Code.

You want to get rid of posters who aren't satisfied with the game.  You want to silence people who disagree with you, even though they are registered game owners and thus are allowed to post on these forums.

How else am I supposed to interpret what you said?

I never get anywhere close to Priority: Earth.

I only replay ME3 to double-check things for my checklist - which boils down to playing on Casual, blowing through enemies, button-mashing through dialogue and cutscenes and shutting down the console once I finish Horizon.

I really should keep playing until the end of Chronos Station (since that is the last mission to reward assets), but there is only so much Kai Leng a man can handle before he'll throw his 360 at the wall. That's actually almost a true story.

I fail to see how the lack of acknowledgement that you posted the Konami Code was indicative of a certain age range. Also, not everyone under 30 is oblivious to the Konami code.

I'm starting to think this may be part of the problem of why people don't quite understand the ending. They blew through the game and didn't take their time with it. Those that did take their time knew what was going on and knew there weren't any plot holes and such and the ending made sense.

Thanks to MEHEM I don't need to do that anymore.

That doesn't actually fix the ending so to speak. Another thing I was going to bring up is that using the Unreal Development Kit or Unreal related tools (ME3 Explorer) to modify a game with assets from Bioware without their permission is a violation of the user agreement that you signed when you installed the game. Basically says that you agree to install the game "as is" with all it's issues and such. If you don't agree, don't install it.

Another word for it is decompiling or reverse engineering the game. May not be selling the game, but you could get into a lot of legal issues for it if they ever decided to pursue this.

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!  :o Oh, best post all night! Are you related to/friends with Seival, by chance? Oh, and bud? Ask me a ME 1/2/3 factual question. Go ahead, ask. Bet ya I can answer it. Feel free to add in the three books, too.

No I'm not, but all I'm saying is that the answers to what the ending is are in the game. If people hadn't rushed through it, they would have understood what was going on. The other thing is aside from the main campaign, that the codex also answers some of the stuff about the ending as well.

Wait, are you referring to IT or a literal interpretation of the ending? If the former, than I apologize (
though I'll also point out that Bioware's responses make it unfortunately clear that it was NOT what they were going for.) If the latter, my post stands.

Frelling. A. Ok, maybe you're right about me being off my game. Your sig says it and everything. :pinched: I apologize to you on bended knee, I thought you were going someplace completely different with that.

Can't rely on Bioware for everything though. Sometimes you need to think for yourself. That's one of the things missing in today's society. People don't think for themselves anymore, they just blindly believe whatever someone says.

If they told you that IT is what the ending was, you'd probably believe them. It's called spoon-feeding, which removes any sort of thought provoking discussions and makes everything mindless dribble. People don't want to put any serious thought into anything, so they just take the simplest explanation which around here means "rushed" or plot holes. By only believing what they say and not coming up with your own ideas or explanations, you've been indoctrinated.

They wanted an ending that people could talk about it. If they filled in everything, that would go against the kind of story they are trying to tell and their vision for the game. Your vision for the game might be to fill in everything, but you didn't make the game, they did.

It is a brilliant speech, great buildup to where you think Shepard's gonna pull off some bada** ish, then....fade to black, Liara's capsule, stargazer :(

Huh? Liara's capsule? What's that? And stargazer? really?

The only time my screen faded to black was when I turned off my console.. But even then, it was more instantaneous than a fade...

Problem is, though, if IT is indeed the answer (which I DO believe it is, merely NOT what Bioware intended, and yes I'm aware that sounds funny) then ME3 is currently without an ending. Right now you have Shepard wake up in a pile of rubble...and then what? The galaxy is in as much trouble as it's been throughout the entire game. All defeating indoctrination does is free YOU from Harby, for however long. It doesn't actually defeat the Reapers. That's not filling in, that's leaving the entire last chapter blank. Still better than Starboy/RGB, but nothing you can call an ending.
