No. I'm Shepard. I can't just quit. I see it through.

I play right up to were I'm sitting with Anderson looking at earth, then I immediately turn the game off. When I'm not playing, the game disks make a very lovely pair of $80 coasters

I'm starting to think this may be part of the problem of why people don't quite understand the ending. They blew through the game and didn't take their time with it. Those that did take their time knew what was going on and knew there weren't any plot holes and such and the ending made sense.

Would you kindly tell us what to understand? I did all the side missions, I listened to every scene, and I clocked in at about 29 hours. I'm guessing I rushed.

If you don't play Mass Effect 3 anymore, why are you still here? I mean this is sort of a discussion forum for people who are actively playing and are passionate about the game. If you were passionate about this game you'd still be playing it, but you're not. So, can you see my point?

Bioware should do something similar with what Blizzard does where you have to be actively playing the game in order to post on their forums. Not just have the game registered to your account, because that makes it too easy to post. In Blizzard's case with WoW, an active subscription. Sure would cut down on the weird threads.

I should go put that in their suggestion box or something.

You do realize WoW is a MMO, wherein continuous play is a component of the genre, yes? Registering WoW is akin to playing the game, something no offline game can possibly boost. I could finish ME3 in under three days and by your parameters be prevented from posting unless I circumvented the system.

How about if you dislike a discussion, then you ignore it?

I never get anywhere close to Priority: Earth.

I only replay ME3 to double-check things for my checklist - which boils down to playing on Casual, blowing through enemies, button-mashing through dialogue and cutscenes and shutting down the console once I finish Horizon.

I have studied and analyzed this series arguably more than the majority of posters here, and am a writer myself. Additional hours would not rectify the atrocious writing any more than extra pages would salvage Twilight into competent literature. There is nothing to comprehend, no unseen mystery we were too daft to fathom, despite your condescending assertion. Just a poorly written disaster.

What "atrocious writing" is that aside from the ending and introduction of the Crucible?

the forced emotions imparted by the child on earth, the forced PTSD on MY character, the sidelining of all ME2 characters....

But we are in the realm of personal taste now

Does it make you feel powerful to say that you don't play the game?

no, it helps me remind Bioware that even I, who was one of the loudest defenders of the franchise and went out of my way in any social venue to praise the team and proudly say that this was my favorite franchise, am utterly unable to replay a series I flat out fell in love with because some of the higher ups chose that telling me flat out the fate of a character that was marketed to me as mine in a story that was again marketed to me as mine was simply too much to ask for

A tiny bit, I suppose. But only because hopefully someone is recognizing their actions because of me pointing them out in the right context.

Nobody is BioWare is paying attention to this thread. And they aren't going to be moved by such things.

some individuals at Bioware are incredibly decent and compassionate human beings. Mainly Brenon Holmes who, to this day, is the ONLY developer who ever actually and sincerely apologized about any of the broken promises made to us

I still like the universe and have no issue discussing it, it's gameplay I'm unintrested in, which incidently gives me a bit more free time, hence I'm here getting the most of the $80 I spent on forum access and an expensive paperweight.

Nope just stating facts, take it however you like. Do your constant attempts to belittle people on this forum help you stroke your ego?

no, to me personally in a PM (there is a screenshot I took of it floating around on the forums and whatnot but here is a transcript

Hmm, so Bjorn is back - asked about some of that stuff. Turns out your suspicions were correct - you can't get enough assets with the main game alone to get that additional secret bit. He says in order to get enough you do need to engage in one of the side games (MP, Facebook or IOS thingie).

I'm really sorry about that, I honestly thought you could it with SP alone plus imports... :/

And after he continued

Well, we're all part of the same team... and personally I always feel some measure of responsibility for the game that ends up going out the door. :)

They don't have to care that I'm pointing it out. But they should certainly care about what they're doing in the first place.

Merizan basically admitted on a thread in the General Discussion that they have said a lot of things that weren't true, and kinda-sorta apologized. I agree. Lying to fans to unacceptable, and it's very difficult to see these statements as anything else, particularly when they were said so close to release that there's excusing it as something that was changed or got cut. She did say they would be taking much more care from this point on to be completely truthful.

Jessica is a community manager, it is HER JOB to placate and mollify us
Brenon is a senior dev, his apology is actually something other devs (starting with Mac and Casey who were the ones who lied about it all) should learn from. He did not have to talk to me, he did not have to recognize the mistakes of other team members or apologize at all....but he did

And that is why he is a decent human being and by far my favorite developer (for that and many other reasons)

That's a fair point.

Yeah, you're right. Hudson and Walters should have done a much better job taking responsibility for the things they said. I can understand that people are angry with them.
