sooo your subjective tastes and priorities are objectively better than others' and enough to warrant being insulting?

Lovely

no, my ability to accept a Saving Private Ryan-type ending makes my opinion far more valid. it might not be your or my preferred ending but unlike you, i can accept it.

lol @ bolded.

whats your problem with people thinking something different then you? i dont think youve made any kind of point yet. other then you think some people are whiners, and are wasteing your time poointing out flaws in something you most likely think is perfect.

its unfortunate for both of us.

Immediately after finishing, I re-imported my first playthrough with the intention of waiting for all DLC to come out before finishing in the HOPES that the ending would change. I haven't even seen the extended cut additions for myself, so I want to at least make it through that once before I make final decisions for any other playthroughs.

...which is fcuking sad. By this point I had 7+ playthroughs of ME2.

[edit]  Might I inquire what a "PAWG" is?  I'm assuming something-something-White Girl?

After they released EC I bought "From Ashes" as a warped sort of thank you to Bioware for going through with the EC project, I now have buyers remorse.  I only bought ME3 for $20 on PC later because it was a great price and I was just buying anything reasonably good for my new gaming PC.  Ironically that came with From Ashes.  Dragon Age Orgins because I was bored and it was cheap on Amazon.  I swear though thats all.  I'm done.  Which might be true.  I've had no problem resisting the temptation to buy Leviathan and Omega.

The ironic thing is not buying DLC is not really about price. I buy stupid stuff I don't need all the time with no more then 10 minutes of research.  If it's good then why not?  Problem is Omega and Leviathan from viewing them on YouTube, they are average at best.  Yet Bioware has hyped them up to make you think that they're better then they really are.  Now I'm seeing the hype machine get reved up to the max on this upcoming Citadel DLC and part of me wants to be excited but they've engaged in so much puffery that I almost have to conclude that it has a 99% chance of being mediocre, which is a terrible word for anything related to Mass Effect considering the standard the sereis had set for itself up till this point.

In the end I don't know whats worse.  The fact that ME3 has fallen well short of the Mass Effect standard or that in spite of all its flaws and the disapointment Mass Effect 3 is still better then 99% of the games out there.

You mean other than being skilled enough to lead the team that brought Shepard back from the dead? Or being the XO of the Normandy?

But sure, the only appealing thing about Miranda is her rear. I mean, if you're full retard anyway. Your comparison between ME3 and Saving Private Ryan is telling enough about your intelligence.

Ehhh, I'm pretty sure her most defining feature was dat booty. Other appealing things, sure, but let's be reasonable... Being my secretary in ME2 hardly made me care more about her.

Hey man, you can admit you got drawn in by the booty. No one's here to judge. Lots of people here are all about the Miranda and dat Miranda a--.

If you don't play Mass Effect 3 anymore, why are you still here? I mean this is sort of a discussion forum for people who are actively playing and are passionate about the game. If you were passionate about this game you'd still be playing it, but you're not. So, can you see my point?

Bioware should do something similar with what Blizzard does where you have to be actively playing the game in order to post on their forums. Not just have the game registered to your account, because that makes it too easy to post. In Blizzard's case with WoW, an active subscription. Sure would cut down on the weird threads.

I should go put that in their suggestion box or something.

Sry. But there is no such a BS term on the game's eula. At least, not when i accepted it.

So im not obligated to replay a game that i didnt like in order to post here.

We are here because we like the series, regardless of the ME3 catastrophe.

Quite honestly, for me, it was that look that Miranda shoots Wilson right before she shoots him. That look that said, "You slimy little weasel!"

Quite honestly, Miranda has the most character depth in ME2 aside from Shepard.  It's really interesting to see evolve the more Shepard is with her.  Her being one of the most attractive digital characters is icing on the cake.  I'm doing anothe ME series playthrough and told myself I was gonna stick the whole thing through with Liara this time, but the more you talk to Miranda (and see her in her suit) the more convincing she is.  I haven't totally given in and dropped Liara however, so we'll see how this playthrough goes.

Back on topic though, there's other things in the 3rd one that makes the whole series replayable.  MEHEM has done a good job for those who want a happy ending for their Shepard.  If you don't want to play it anymore that's fine too.  Nobody is right and nobody is wrong.

A choice-based RPG shouldn't force a Saving Private Ryan ending on someone who doesn't want it.

lol, yet again an opinion not root in reality. there will ALWAYS be certain outcomes regardless of choice.

That is the way I last played it, up till now.  I'm working on getting to the MEHEM ending just so the game does not always have that unfinished and depressing feeling to it.

Ok you are really not making sense.  This is a choice based game that allows you to create certain types of Shepards and allows you throughout the game to decide NOT to make some nasty choice (unless you include the Arrival which I played only twice in all the playthroughs I did of ME2 because of how it's written).  Then, at the end of ME2, you are forced to have Shepard be a total reject by doing the opposite of what the Shepard you may have played would do.

The problem is that everyone gets basically the same exact endings, choices, no matter what kind of Shepard they played (if the EMS is equal).

Everyone is forced to do something a heck of a lot of people don't want to do AND the consequences are all but non-existent with super happy slideshows and not very sad cutscenes that gloss over any impact.

Your opinion on anything is no more valid than someone else's unless you can say your opinion is fact.  Just because you are willing to accept crap you don't even like all that much, doesn't make anything you say more valid-it makes it somewhat silly.

And there's a big difference between disliking what exists and not wanting to see it and play it, and knowing and accepting that that's all there is or will be.  I think we get it, Bioware ain't changing it.  That doesn't mean we have to like it or say it's not what we like, but that's ok.

And a really mature reference too.  A lot of people became emotionally invested in the story which did feature romances and even friendships.  It's what good stories do.  But what is also true is that BW abandoned good story telling at the end and forgot about or just neglected the meaning of those attachments.  You however boiled it down to just some stupid idea of riding off into the sunset.  This is crap.  You are talking down to people.  The whole galaxy has been blown to hell-many worlds nearly destroyed, others in ruins, colonies gone, people turned into goo.  And wanting Shepard to have a chance to survive could never mean that there's this "riding off into the sunset" type thing.  It's about a ray of hope and a bright spot amid all the horror and tragedy.

Not some childish, juvenile thing, but a mature attempt at rebuilding what was lost and also honoring the hero enough not to leave him/her in the rubble.  And for there be some counter to the scene of a dying Shepard with the skin flying off his/her face.

Yeah, PAWG is a derogatory term for Miranda.  A PHAT A--ed White Girl,  Nice.
