some people are incapable of solo'ing and the thought of even doing a solo is indeed scary for them, i play gold and platinum with someone like this all the time.
are they a bad person/player? no

but i see what the OP is talking about and i didnt see one insult in the original post at all, just his observation.

1. Soloers are the true master race! (thread title)
2. Team players are sociable people that enjoy playing with others.
3. Solo players don't thrive in social environments, and prefer challenges to people.
4. But soloists aren't antisocial or anything.
5. Even though soloers are the TRUE master race, they're not better or anything.

But you forgot to mention that Soloists may soon find themselves experiencing a great windfall, and that team players should beware of snakes in long grass.

Soloists do have a sorta edge, if they can also co-op just equally, they can alone do stuff without a hand, but if they are anti team, they might as well just stick to their soloing and keep out....

THis game IDK why the heck it even has "solo" challenges...but thats me I find the fact a mark for Solo plat. alone was kinda....wtf

 

I was mainly talking about the rather hilariously un-related things that were drawn simply from whether you prefer one play style or another. For example I could say that people who play Infiltrators tend to be shy people and that's why they like hiding, while people who play Vanguards are likely to get into bar fights because they're always getting in people's faces. :lol: It's ridiculous, gave me a good laugh, but I hope it was not meant to be taken seriously. 

As for soloists "having an edge"... soloing and playing with a team are two completely different games. In solos it's about kiting enemies around the map and being patient, in team games (at least most of mine) it's a rush to the spawns to find the groups of enemies and murder them as fast as you can. You can't really compare the two, but in my group of friends, the vast majority who can play decently in a team game could solo Gold or Platinum without too much trouble.

Your translation of soloing is offensive. Its more than kiting and patience. Too much to explain:huh:

I am going to add my final 2 cents here.

The idea that personalities and lifestyle can be gleened from whether someone likes to solo or not is laughable.

Let's take RedJohn for example. He loves soloing, does it all the time and has been doing it since the early days of the game. Based on your idea, he must be a loner in real life, etc. However, based on his demographic (Dominican, Hispanic, likely Catholic), he probably has intimate familial ties and spends a great deal of time with his family as well as with friends.

I, on the other hand, hate soloing, have virtually no familial ties and spend the vast majority of my time alone. I am a true lone wolf, more so than virtually anyone on this board and yet, I hate soloing.
