Bullvore brain, queen pheramones, harpy egg and broker warrior blood?

Yeah, I have everything but the brain. Queen Pheromones I got in the forest, harpy egg I got in Loc Muinne itself, and the nekker warrior blood I got...somewhere. Still need that bullvore brain though.

I got lucky with the brain, I had it in my inventory. Had to hunt down the other 3 in my first playthrough, as I had used them for alchemy.

Don't bother with it really since you only get a good steel sword, which you can get anyway if you help BRoche with Anais, if you don't then well....

The sword you get from doing the Manuscript quest is called Caerme, the one you get from BRoche's quest is Vran Sword and the latter is superior.

Yeah, I've already decided I'm gonna help Roche get Anais rather than go straight for Triss.

Not quite that far yet though, as I'm dealing with Foltest's cousin and Maravel.

Just found out the redirection letter was a forgery, and thats where I stopped for the night.

Gonna continue when I can.

I started a replay for lesser reasons.

To complete a quest in Chapter 3. Something about an Ancient oh goddamn it let me look it up hahaha

Ancient Manuscript.

Edit- Encrypted Manuscript, mah bad.

Maybe you're missing one section of the sewers... Mapping in the Witcher is not the best, for sure... Maybe if you try and go back a few times it'll re-spawn?

There's always the posibility that it's a bug... Then you're f^^****, my friend. :P

Nah, she didn't actually "speak" in the game, I mean lorewise she spoke to people who asked and she told them Geralt didn't do it and it was some monk that killed her dad, just like Geralt had been telling.

Maybe, but the doors to the other part of the sewers are locked, so :P

Whatevers. Gonna start the next game session early today.

Alright, finished Chapter 2, started Chapter 3.

I KNEW HENSELT WAS A ******

But I let him live. Seems the North needs him. One day he'll get his karma, though.

I felt bad for Iorveth. Gonna feel better when I side with him, probably after I beat Tomb Raider(which comes out in a few days, though I won't touch till after I beat this).

I'm STILL wearing the Hunter's Armor I got from helping the troll in Chapter 1. Its like I'm wearing the blue of the Blue Stripes(R.I.P).

So I guess my next session's gonna be about trying to figure out Loc Muinne- where everyone is, learning the layout, etc etc.

I loved the view as the chapter started.

This game is awesome.

I've just finished Chapter 2 via Roche and Iorveth's path was far more fun IMO, so you'll enjoy the second playthrough :)

Also, Dark mode is a great difficult setting (although playing as a "mage" it was a bit tough going through the Mist) - it feels tough, but not impossible and each death feels as if it was avoidable.

So, while rescuing Anais from Dethmold, Roche decided to castrate him, feed him his balls(probably not but that's how I'm gonna go with it), and then slit his throat.

This game, man.

There is a nearly equal thing on Ioverth path too :)

Yeah, so now I'm just wondering if I should look for any more sidequests before I continue with the main questy type stuff.

Oh yeah, and I decided not to hand Anais over to Radovid. I figured hey, lets give her a chance at ruling independently.

Level 34 now, haven't done anything after saving Anais yet.

Also, that sword I picked up from Dethmold's locker is awesome. The Forgotten Vran Sword. Since I had to fight some of Radovid's dudes, I got to try it out and dang. I froze all of them and they exploded into chunks.

See, thats cool when it happens extremely rarely, Bioware. And not with daggers or arrows. Jeezis.

There aren't many side quests in chapter 3, so you're probably done soon. Do talk to "bearded woman" on one of the squares before going to the arena. xD

Chapter 3 is relatively short. Once you've fully uncovered the mystery of what happened to Boussy, there's not all that much optional stuff left

Yeah, come to think of it... I imagine when the writers "visualised" Dethmold's death, they thought to themselves "well, gee... Roche's path cannot have all the goodies ! Let's think of an equally horrible and painful thing you can do to a human being and put it in Iorveth's path ! That way no one's a loser !".

Ahh... CDPR... you thought of everyting you.

Ugh.... the Mist was terrible on Dark. Actually I found it pretty much impossible without full block and Riposte (no roll). I reloaded, backtracked and took these Talents just for that section.

Beat the game. Gooooddaaaaamn.

Closing Thoughts-

This game was awesome. I love how rich the story was, it never stopped gripping me. I WISH Bioware's stories were that heavy.

Definitely gonna play this game again. DEFINITELY. Tomb Raider first, but then going right back to this to try Iorveth's playthrough.

As for how my playthrough ended up,

Anais is gonna do just fine in Temeria with Roche and co.

I'm miffed that its Henselt of all people that will be leading Kaedwen, but then again the North needs all the strength it can get.

Flotsam's doing just fine. Yaay

Prior to knowing all this,

I let Sile die. She had it coming. Though I'll spare her in the next playthrough.

Same with the dragon. That impalement was insane, so I figured I'd put it out of its misery. But on that subject-

1. Named Dragon
2. Assumed it was under Sile's control, but she tells me it was under Phillipa's
3. It wasn't under their control back at La Valette Castle

Something's fishy there. That just wasn't any dragon. I hope I learn more on my second playthrough.

Moving on, Letho. I noticed that you could spare him, so I killed him this time. I'll spare him in the next playthrough.

I definitely want back in on this. Gaah

I'd give it a 9.

9.2 at most.

Great game. Wouldn't call it a favorite of mine, but I'd definitely recommend it(and have recommended it to my stepbrother while I played it).

I wonder what his reaction will be when I tell him about Roche feeding Dethmold his own balls while slitting his throat.
