Still stuck under rubble too. Sure would've been nice if there was a single slide at least showing Shepard getting out and what have you, but NOPE. Take it on speculation that Shepard can survive a huge explosion with nothing but a nihilistic attitude.

Nuts to that. That kind of thing is how good reporters die so that shoe-horned IGN employees can get a cut of the action.

Isn't Shep on top of he rubble rather than under it?

That is definitely not my concern

Nor do I.  However, until they actually end Shepard's story, any new story will seem incredibly hollow.  I'd really just love to see Bioware make one ending canon and watch the reaction of those staunch supporters (it's Bioware's story, deal with it) try to back pedal and retcon all that they've said on here.  It'd be cool to see them make Destroy or even Refuse canon and then see those that think Refuse is just giving up try to deal with that.  Ending haters will take a back seat to beginning haters in hiding.

They did finish Shepard's story..

yours maybe, not mine

Why? Look the three outcomes (Refuse is apparently game over) are pretty clear:

- Blue circuits.
- Green atoms.
- Red minced meat.

Where is the lack of closure?

People only want Shep back because he got screwed over in the end. If Shep got a better deal in the end we would probably not see such a large desire for shep to come back.

not really, unless the writers left a hole for Shep to crawl back in, like the resurrection gig. It's totally up to the writers forethought, not fan afterthoughts.

bioware will decide everything ... and we can not influence them.

the only thing we can influence, is our buying behaviour.

The title of this thread makes me laugh.

If fanbases determined anything, Firefly and Farscape would still be on the air, the Star Wars prequels wouldn't have sucked mighty, mighty balls, and ME3 would have had a remade "Priority Earth", "full romance" and "happy ending" DLC by now.

Conversely, fanbases also gave the world the massive piles of bilious excremental garbage called Twilight, middle-aged men who play with ponies, and cancerous Talimancers.

Ultimately, creators of anything (unless they're doing it on commission, of course) listen only for the sounds of our wallets opening/closing, and our opinions mean precisely nothing to the so-called "creative process".

The fans will not determine anything about ME4 except how much or little revenue it generates for EA.

It is nice, however, that some optimism is left in BSN, misplaced though it is.

Finally someone who got clarity without any DLC.

hmmm, I dunno, the leviathan DLC pretty much followed my head canon..but that could of and probably was just a coincidence.. I do think that all VG writers, in the least, take hints off their respective fan base. Some of the fans on here are very good at imagining stuff, by the way, others are down right technical about it...some too technical(IT;).

DLC are good! if pertainant and exploritory, not just there for basic revenue...alone.

You are right.

The endings are just RGB. You know, Ridicolous, Gimmick and Bizarre.

And copied.

It isn't hero-warship. Fans liking characters is a great thing.

Fans claiming they wouldn't play another ME game, regardless of its quality, if it didn't feature Shepard (and there are plenty), strikes me as a form of worshipping / obsession for the character. Nothing wrong with that, I guess, but it goes beyond merely "liking" a character.

I'm on the fence with this one. I'm not saying I'm not buying another ME because Shepard isn't in it. It'll be because they botched up ME3 so badly... but I digress. After 3 games, to me Shepard IS Mass Effect. Just like the Mass Relays and the Citadel, the Normandy etc. Without these, there simply is no Mass Effect. And that includes Shepard IMO.
