Seriously though I've played both Far Cry 3 and naturally Mass Effect 3 while both games were pretty good Mass Effect's fantastic atmosphere and deeply integrated story wins over the facinating story elements of Far Cry. (Seriously why wasn't Vaas the last boss? He was way more interesting than the last guy.)

I really never have been interested in the Far Cry series always was very boring to me, AC3 was a very good game with some stuff but the glitches, the real lack of history towards the end of the game was really horrible, i really did not like Connor at all very very boring, very linear, to stubborn, Desmond and his team was ten times better and that last mission with him was the best you probably ever saw but experienced something even more which they took away to quickly and the ending was just so crappy so horrible man it killed me you think you would be offered a choice but no that didn't happened either so yeah i voted for mass effect 3 of course.

It doesn't matter who wins, Far Cry 3 was the bomb diggity. That game had me by the balls and wouldn't let go til i finished it. I couldn't stop playing, i had to keep playing to find out what happened next. I loved the characters so much and the villain was so kick ass. Definitely my personal game of the year.

Do you play on console? I heard it had performance issues and I'm now looking for personal input.

I play on Xbox, and the technical issues are really nothing, just some screen tearing here and there and some questionable draw distance as graphics fill in, but the gameplay completely makes up for it. I didn't think any game could knock off XCOM for me for my personal GOTY, but then Far Cry 3 completely smashed my expectations and hasn't let go.

Far Cry 3 is just a love letter to gamers.

I refuse to vote because both games are epic.
Mass Effect 3 has so many great and sad moments while Far Cry 3 makes you fell like Rambo and Vaas is probably one of dbest villains i have seen in a while, the guy is like Joker but way more psycho.
Either way, any game that wins i support them both.

Getting disqualified at the final would be even worse ending than ME3 ending.

It's interesting that most comments seem to be on Far Cry 3's side, yet things still remain 50/50. BSN you wouldn't be making alternate accounts would you?

When ME3 had the lead there were a lot of pro-ME3 comments. I've been voting since the brackets first started and I've yet to comment so I don't think it's indicative of anything.
