As an Australian, I'll let you know of any rivers turning to blood, or any plagues of locusts.

The gravitational pull will reverse when the planets align, so at least we'll all be able to fly before we die. We'll all feel it at the same time, so time zones are irrelevant.

I'll bet anyone that the world doesn't end on December 21st of this year. I'll take all takers.

Good point. I won't have to find out how stupid it was to believe that the world wouldn't end, if my country goes first. Fortunately, they'd be wrong that the world was to end in 21/12/12.

I am going to laugh so hard at the morons that sell their houses and buy bunkers on the 21st. Humnan stupidity amazes me.

sigh,
The ****ing calendar ends that day, it's no different than the 31st on our Calendar.

We know, we are joking here :wizard:

Indeed, because I live in GMT -4, so it means my friend who is +13 hours more than me will die first right?

Apologies, I'm just sick and tired of the thing.
But I'll change my above statement to better fit this topic.

I would think it would hit the timezone appropriate to the location of the Ancient Mayan's "first" so the Eastern side of the world would get more time.

The prophet Al Gore warned us of this! Why didn't you heed him? The global warming comes to kill us all.

And if that ends up failing, can't go wrong with going back 3 days iin time with the Song of Time. BTW anyone know what actually happens when you play Oath to Order on the clock tower with only 3 or less giants? Never tried it.

Nope. Expect doomsayers in 2029 or whatever as well, because of an asteroid that has a 1 in 250,000 chance to hit us or whatever.

I will say this, I've learned some very interesting things about the Kuiper Belt, the Oort cloud, and TNO's in general because of the 2012 hysteria. Apparently the old Nemesis theory regarding cyclical mass extinctions due to comet impact is dead in the water, but perturbations in the orbits of TNO's like Sedna have led to revival of the idea of a large massive object way out there (in various forms) to explain such perturbations.

Astronomy is ****ing awesome.

Not gonna happen.

I just added 44 minutes while convincing the internet to not destroy the world for another 5-7 years.

But they are countered by Friendship and Science Bear! We still have time!

Pssh.  Leap years.  We have dismissed that claim.
