Well we know others at BW don't like the ending (Patrick Weekes, my hero). But they still have to much of an ego for their art.

The implementation was bad, and we also all know EA's rather strict timetable had to do with the game being unpolished and rushed.

I think the bolded 'they' is not == bioware. I think the bolded 'they' is two people.

BioWare has said a lot of things. It would be pretty pathetic if that turned out to be one of the few truthful things that they said in regards to ME3.

X-Box is by far the leading platform for Mass Effect though.

And....?

That is foolish. Ego has nothing to do with them not changing the endings.

Wanna bet?

That the sales of Leviathan would or should be proportionate to the population. If on Xbox where ME has the largest following Leviathan didn't even leave Pinnacle station that far behind which was almost universally lauded as the most irrelevant DLC of the whole trilogy it does not stand to reason it did much better on the playstation and even worse on the PC where its much easier to Pirate.

Even if you stack the sales of leviathan with PS3 and Xbox together Lair of the Shadow Broker was somewhere up in the upper hundreds if I recall whereas Leviathan was scratching at a thousand. The DLC sales of the Playstation would have to tripple the Xbox sales in order for it to ever be claimed as the "best selling of the trilogy"

This is why I'm quitting ME3 come January. Loved the game, loved the trilogy, loved the characters, loved MP, but the fact a company who is aware of an overwhelming consumer demand for a certain product, yet chooses not to put forth said product for reasons borderline hubris is just a major turn off.

Maybe, I don't know, they want to explore different aspects of the MEU besides Shepard. People kept wanting new Sonic the Hedgehog games too, and look how that turned out.

I don't see anyone asking for a whole nuther game/story with Shepard. They're asking for THIS game/story to be concluded in a beffiting manner. One which does not present plot holes that I could fit my car through.

No, not really. I'm moving half-way across the country to begin my clinical rotations. Having done 16 SP playthroughs, Best of the Best in MP, close to 18,000 in war assets, and done nearly everything in ME, I see no point to continue playing if future installments will have no real impact on how my story turns out. I said I'd give up this game for a long period if no ending or post-ending DLC came to fruition, as it would have given more incentive to continue playing, but looks like it's time for me to walk away.

Furthermore they said they wanted to break away from the protagonist of DA:O when they made DA2 and look how that turned out

After sixteen playthroughs I'd say you're four playthrough's overdue on that one:P

Is this a thread to say that there might be a chance that Shepard is alive at the end of ME3 and that the Geth and EDI are still alive and the Reapers are destroyed?

True, but the characters kept me coming back and so did the hopes of potential ending expansion.

I am playing Mass Effect 1 on my PS3 and I was hoping by the time I got to the end again that it might be different?

Your attitude is all wrong. Needs less SpongeBob and more Eeyore. Optimism shall be your doom. Only pessimism can shield you from the searing pain of false expectations.

I bought Leviathan, didn't buy Omega because it had nothing to offer besides pew pew at Cerberus for 3 more hours.....but all of my money will be waiting if Bioware wants to expand the endings. Otherwise it'll remain in my pocket.

You mean my Vanguard Shepard can Charge Kai Leng in cutscenes?

Instead of hanging on to a cliff like a rotten fruit to a tree?

Is that why Leviathan sold better than any DLC to date? Because the universe is 'dead'?

Might have had something to do with the rumors that were spread that it changed the endings...

or the fact that it was released on 3 consoles.
