I think Phoebe would be fine as the model for a default appearance character. She is beautiful in a fairly vanilla way, although she does have very striking eyes. She'd be fine, just not my first or second choice.

If I had to choose somebody other than Erika  I would go with:

She plays Brienne of Tarth on Game of Thrones. I find her oddly attractive even as Brienne (because I'm a weirdo and I like androgynous reverse traps, I guess?), but I prefer her as herself. She is very striking (and tall) and believable as a warrior woman.

I want a softer looking female protagonist. I'm a woman and I don't want the default female to be hard looking or androgynous. That's part of my problem with FemHawke. I thought she was rather ugly. Unappealing, at least. She had no universal appeal. Sometimes traditional is better.

This thread needs more white people. ;)

LOL. I wish there was a hope of racial diversity, but I think there's a 99.99% chance the default protagonist will be white.
Gotta post in line with the odds.:P

Haha I would think so. I only mentioned her for the strangness! In the oil painting circle I was involved with she came up a lot. Many artist had renditions of her. I never went so dark with my work but she is interesting. Her marionette shoot was very cool. 


I only brought it up because Apnea = Not breathing and "tic" is usually added to the end of conditions when you're referring to someone suffering from said condition i.e. Asthmatic.  I didn't actually look at her pictures.  Although now that I did the name seems appropriate, as she appears to love tight corsets....

I hear ya.

Side thought: In DA:O one of my most favoritist play throughs was with the Amell Mage because that origin had no family (well until DA2) contact or tribe etc to break immersion. I played with the creator for a bit and I finally got a nice looking Taye Diggs like mage.

You must be taking the ****** by posting that Gollum pic. I'm not sure what your intention is with the Gwen Stefani one, but honestly, I find myself astonished at how well her face would actually work as the inspiration for a Dragon Age character. It wouldn't even have to be the Player Character. I would totally dig a LI companion who looked like Gwen! :wub::wub::wub:

Just expressing my feelings on the matter. We are today so obsessed with peoples looks and looking like sticks. I want to see a unknown and normal looking person for once. The most beautiful people are those that have some skin on their bones and a face that isn't stuffed with makeup and photoshop effects.
