oh yeah? you are forcing a picture of a girl/women that you find attractive enough. However for me it would be better if pc would remain faceless. Put a hood or helmet on pc's head and we are fine.

However, marketings demands attractive character, i understand this. And even if your post is not official (not made by bioware), just you wait and we will have just another vote - "pick a female Inquisitor for a cover."

p.s. number 4 is better

Why should the marketing character not have a face?
You will be able to customize the looks anyway.

yeah true but look at number 4. short hairs, no makeup. she looks realistic. i mean no one would notice her makeup when she put helmet on, and she will put it on with out problems, because of short hairs.

if she is about to be on a cover - i will vote for her.

Are you saying that women with make-up and long hair aren't realistic?

Not necessarily realistic for an adventurer who is spending a lot of time on the road and wouldn't want to offer something enemies can grab, or that can get in your eyes or whatever.

Though people aren't always practical, of course.  And not all PCs are necessarily vagabonds.

I has an inquiry

Would you view it a bad thing if, for once, BW released an RPG where main male/female protagonist wouldn't fall well within boundaries of western world norm of OMG SO HAWT? Would this be a bad and unfortunate thing by default? Does male PC always have to be some Calvin Klein model and his female counterpart  some super model acress chick? Do they always have to be handsome, beautiful, sexy and in  their early 30s(if male) or early to mid 20s(if female)

Is it very important character is handsome, young ands fashionably beautiful? Is it by feault less interesting and less fun to play a character who is old, ugly, rugged, scarred* or any combination of these?

*As in Hound from SoIaF"-scarred, not  "clean sexy anime boy hero line across the eye - scarred"

Well for the default character model I imagine there is some marketing reason for making the character reasonably attractive.  You want your brand to be attractive and part of that is what it looks like.  I don't think it would necessarily be a bad thing if the default did not fit the "standard beauty" look but at the same. . .yeah I'd like the character to be easy on the eyes.  Take turians for example.  I'm not sure I could classify them as being attractive, I yet I don't mind looking at them in cutscenes and game play, and neither would I mind playing game where everyone I intereacted with were turians.

Also I have a question for you based on your last line.  What do you think of Geralt from The Witcher games?  While he does have a rather typical rugged, hero face with scars and stubble, the times you see his body, he has some rather horrific scarring.

It's also not necessarily realistic with dwarves, elves, dragons.
Neither is if you willingly thrust your own staff through your body you will live, sometimes a dagger kills instantly, sometimes it doesn't, I especially like the part where you can push the killing dagger straight through steel like it was nothing.

Compared, I think adventuring with make-up, with out without long hair and helmet seems very realistic.

well you can always have girl in armored bra and armored panties, it looks well with long hairs and makeup.
it's like Miranda in her latex "armor", fan service.

consider this, if i am about to cleave women with an axe, i will not hesitate to use her hairs as leverage to put her down, and in that very moment when i cut her head off, perhaps i will notice how awesome her makeup is, with a blood all over her face, given that her helmet would fall from her head.

this is why number 4 makes more sense.

Stop feeding the hair(s?) and make-up troll, people.

I really like the women in armor pictures. I may have missed it in the thread, but where did they come from?

Is this the thread where we post pictures of celebrities we find attractive and pretend it's DA related?

I think they are thinking of sales when they are making character, it needs to look cool and pwetty to atract players to the game.

But you know, I wouldn't mind if we had a bald protagonist or something for once, who wouldn't be sucha pretty boi. Or female character who looks like she is in her 40's and had SOME MUSCLE on her. Instead of model-anorectic body.
