Jonathan Rhys Meyers has a very intense-looking face. He's very good at looking like the sort of lad who just doesn't take s*** from anyone. A default PC modelled after his face would be pretty cool, even if I don't ever actually use default appearances.

I applaud that choice among all your others. With all due respect, I found the rest of your choices to be generic metrosexual pretty boys. Meyers is good-looking but in an interesting way at least.

Jesus guys, When you're searching for models...what do you put in the search box. The most diversity I here is my hair color.

Like I REALLY want to know what you guys type. Really.

I searched "fat models" and then "really fat models."

I guess it's time for me to post my choices for a default male PC. I wanted to go with a male fashion or art model, but couldn't find anyone with an interesting and unconventional appearance. I've decided to break my own rules and use a trio of actors whose faces I think could serve as the basis for the default appearance/ marketing character in DA 3.

While I'm not into model types, I really like this guy's face.

What the heck, one more! If BioWare ever decided to make a PC elderly-looking by default, I'd go with this guy:

Rade Serbedzija

...and for the elderly female PC's default look:

Helen Mirren, no doubt about it!! I'll probably end up using young Helen Mirren in the movie Excalibur as the basis for a DA 3 character at some point anyway! She was very sexy back in the day!

I do approve, especially of #3. What a lovely red-head!!

That's Virginia Hankins.  I used her as a reference a month or so ago in a thread about realistic armor for women.  Stupid forum search isn't letting me find it again though.  She has a website if you want more info.  Basically, that armor isn't a costume.  She knows what she's doing with it.

Better?

Now she looks far too innocent to have the title of Inquisitor.  That's just my opinion though.

I approve of 3. the only that I think would really have to be done is to cut her lovely red hair and that's mainly becauset hat  long hair it hard to make in game.

The Teryn of Whatever, glad to see there are others who appreciates the oldies :) Not everything needs to be an oh-so-pretty young thing.

Let me nominate another "older protagonist": Iain Glen

I has an inquiry

Would you view it a bad thing if, for once, BW released an RPG where main male/female protagonist wouldn't fall well within boundaries of western world norm of OMG SO HAWT? Would this be a bad and unfortunate thing by default? Does male PC always have to be some Calvin Klein model and his female counterpart  some super model acress chick? Do they always have to be handsome, beautiful, sexy and in  their early 30s(if male) or early to mid 20s(if female)

Is it very important character is handsome, young ands fashionably beautiful? Is it by feault less interesting and less fun to play a character who is old, ugly, rugged, scarred* or any combination of these?

*As in Hound from SoIaF"-scarred, not  "clean sexy anime boy hero line across the eye - scarred"

I would probably not play a game in which my main character was horrific
or ugly. Im playing a fantasy game, if there can be dragons flying
around, there can be very gorgeous people all over the land.

Why all of the platemail wearing cosplayers, the best women characters in the DA series (flemeth, Morrigan, Leliana) never wore a spec of heavy armor.  Why the omg that doesnt cover every inch of her body it must be fanservice.

Did morrigan wear a burka?
Did flemeth for that matter?

I played Planescape: Torment and the Witcher, so I'm comfortable playing characters with unfortunate faces.
