Finished it with a mage, well, two actually.
Morrigan and myself.
Started a new game with a rogue and no mage.
Death to the traitor Morrigan.
Anyway, it's way way harder without a powerful range attack and crowd control.
Mage prison spell takes out one attacker right away and has different ways of controlling the enemy.
Also, fireball is powerful and takes out many attackers easily.
After playing through Lotherim, I think I should stick with my mage for the next addon... lol
Mages are extremely powerful

Yep Mages can pretty much handle every situation thrown at them provided you have the right spells. Their debuffs and control options are just crazy. They can wipe out entire rooms (in a most creative way if you would go for that) if carefully planned. Hehe, I hope you get to chase her one day and see what's she's been up to.
