Duet Effect is a didactic fanfiction written by myself, alternating between the point of view of a pair of Earthborn Twins: Lieutenant Commanders' Jonathan "John" R. Shepard - The War Hero of Elysium, and J.Katelyn 'Kat' Shepard - The Ruthless Butcher of Torfan. Thanks to the machinations of Ambassador Udina, they're now up for the same position: The First Human SpecTRe.
Through their combined efforts, the Twins expose Saren Arterius as a Traitor, and venture forth to stop him from threatening the end of known galactic civilisation. Uncovering startling, dark and disturbing revelations about the Saren's Machine Masters, the Mass Relays, The Citadel and the Cyclical nature of their civilisation as well.
