You are obviously uncapable of holding down the shoot button for a short moment before firing. Its easy to use if you practice for say - 30 seconds. 
Its better now for casters since it has had its damage returned to normal. And no more annoying delay between firing a shot and reloading/switching weapons.

Learn to acolyte.

Would it be possible to remove the rolldown feature from the store? With many packs available, and all the space unused on the store screen, it would be a logicle and helful modification not having to roll down after very pack bought.

if you are honestly complaining about these balance changes ( besides the sabotage which is obviously a broken skill) go kill yourself... we have just been givin a gift from the BW Gods.

Awesome!  Removing the Acolyte's charge mechanic broke that gun in many different ways, it pretty much got designated as a doorstop.  Thank you for restoring it to its original behavior. Image IPB

Can someone please explain to me what is this "Backfire" mechanic on sabotage? I never understood it. Given all my 330+ hours in this game, I havent actually used sabotage much at all. And when I did use it I didnt notice anything other than the geth hack.

I loved the way the acolyte was. I guess back in the weapons cabinet for it. The new packs are junk. First picked the weapons pack and unlocked one of the new characters?? This is nice but it would have been better if it was a weapon.

Quite opposite actually...

You can lob an acolyte and a cyro blast simultaneously now.  Or an acolyte and singularity...  On the fury you can fire it while running into AF/Throw combo without stopping like a '****** to fire it...  Or charge it then cloak and stay cloaked, fire it and stay cloaked - shadow strike 1-2 plat phantom w/ ease.... Charge it then biotic charge to autoshoot for a 1-2 punch.  Fire and quick switch to primary weapon...  higher rof etc... It went back to the absolutely amazing gun it was and not the pos it was nerfed to.


Sadly squishies don't have the damage reduction and thousands of health/barriers that Krogods have and can't afford to stand in the open to charge it.  The only classes it is better for with a charge are vanguards and infiltrators. It sucks for squishy casters.

Sadly Bioware forgot they made the gun to help biotics, for whom the gun is now worthless.


The thing is that without the charge, the Acolyte Pistol became a multipurpose beast. There's not a singe weapon available to any class that can strip shields extremely fast, stun most non-boss units, do major damage with a small Area of Effect (AOE), and be one of the lightest weapons to carry. To me, it was pretty silly NOT to pack one on most of my characters.

I hate to admit it, but reverting the Acolyte to it's original charge-up and damage was actually a good idea balance wise. 

Maybe BioWare could add in a caster variant of the Acolyte the next time they add in more weapons. A non-charge type which is half as damaging to shields and barriers and maybe packs a couple more rounds per clip? I don't know, just throwing it out there.  Image IPB

As for Sabotage; I love the lower cooldown but I'm not a fan of the backfire damage nerf. It's possible that this change is only temporary until they can fix Sabotage in an actual patch somehow. Well, one can only hope anyways! 

And I do love the release of the final three characters! That is a nice surprise! And all maps being available is a nice bonus as well.

Ironically it works on husks, brutes, and any enemy without a gun. The problem is though that there are no assist points granted from using this technique due to a bug. Oh and if the target has no shields when shocked then they will be stunned just like getting hit by overload.

I got a Saber 4 in my reserves pack (not that I'm complaining, but if the game gives me an Ultrarare, why can't it be the blaster Scorpion 1 :crying:)

Whilst the acolyte was perfectly fine without the charge up and I'll no longer be bothering with it, I greatly appreciate finally listening to literally hundreds and hundreds of fans pleading for three characters at once, all hazard maps, and better store options.

New Year's Resolution should be fixing those glitches that are affecting players and your income by people exploiting them or quitting altogether.
