I disapprove of reverting the Acolyte

After messing with the Carnifex and the Piranha, there should be at least one Caster weapon left.

The Acolyte did not need to be reverted, I'd laugh if the missile glitchers would be more abundant yet again.

People don't realize that the charge removal was a nerf not a buff. I'm happy to have it back the way it was.

How on earth would it be a nerf to have its charge removed. That just makes it shoot whenever you want it to actually shoot.

I don't like the change either. If they didn't re-buff the damage, than it is a lose-lose for everyone.

How was it a nerf?

Basically, now you have to charge in the open and you'll die on Gold easily.

Yeah, people know how to use it. You hold down the RT (on PS3/XBOX) and then you fire. It's a stupid mechanic and this gun will collect dust now.

I remember some vanguard player crying that with charge-acolyte he could: charge the acolyte>hold the trigger same time he biotic charge>win.

I am sooooooo in agreement with upinya on this...  having the charge mechanic back is the best thing they could do to the acolyte.

But you can just shoot after the Biotic Charge is complete and it's pretty much the same thing.

They set it back to it's original state, which means original damage, refire time, etc.

Personal preference.  While it was a charged weapon, it could be fired while running. I personally hate all charged weapons, so I'm disappointed.

At least now it works the way it was always supposed to. I don't know if I'll use it much, but I mind this a lot less than what could have happened.

I'm also confused, the only thing this achieves is that you cannot shoot with the thing when you want to shoot with it, which just makes it frustrating and infuriorating.

im one of those guys who start using acolyte a lot after removal of charge mechanic. But im really happy they revert it back so i don't have to bear with thousands of nerf threads popping up everyday. And im more than willing to learn to play effectively the charged acolyte because it is a really good gun and I don't have to feel so cheap when I am demolishing phantoms.

No. The weapon is crazy powerful, and those of us that value said power will actually bother using it.

I mean, seriously. You have a weapon that strips shields in one shot. It strips phantom barriers in one shot. Dammit. And you want it to be easy to shoot, too? What, you want a Revenant-sized clip for your Harrier, too? Or maybe the Eviscerator's mechanic for the Claymore?

Did they bring back the original damage back? If they did, I have no problem with the charge mechanic, I used it before and it was still a great weapon. <3 /hipster

The chargeless Acolyte was much better imo. I would've been much more happy with a chargeless Acolyte having it's damage nerfed even more than changing back to the charged one.

It's fire rate is about the same maybe just a but slower its just annoying having to charge just get used to it

The charge mechanic does 2 things. First it will make people dislike the gun again so it won't be so over played and used. Second the charge mechanic is amazing; as soon as you see an enemy you release the charge mechanic and then cast for an explosion. So only practiced player will be able to use this mechanic again. I love this buff =) /demonwing85
