anyone who says it'll now gather dust and they refuse to use it is part of the problem.

What is "the problem"? That they might remove the charge again?
I refuse to use the acolyte because i play Asari most of the time and it is pitiful on them compared other options:
- Argus [J]
- Carnifex [A] (190%)
- Harrier [J]
- Paladin [A,V] (190%)
- Saber [J]
- Talon [S,V] (200%)
- Vindicator [J]
- Viper [A] (190%)
Those are just the ones I prefer, there are more.

Even without the charge I only used it on the Infiltrator and now i will most likely replace it with the arc pistol.
But I have to admit I might use it on my Krogan Soldier, if I play him again someday.

The Acolyte was never about raw DPS, it was about stagger and debuff (shield breaking and ammo proc.). Removing the charge mechanic made it very easy to use. Because it weighs nothing, it became viable for everyone, and could even be an awesome main weapon for those with strong offensive powers (Geth Trooper). Putting the charged shot back on simply means it's no longer a fail-proof stagger machine.

Yep, instead of actually fixing the MISSILE GLITCH, which is the reason why they removed the charge mechanic anyway, they just revert the Acolyte back to what it was instead. Bioware logic.

The way I see it, this has nothing to do with the missile glitch at all - as usual Bioware had to do something to make a very popular powerful weapon less accessible to most people. I can see why some folks love the charge mechanic but  I prefer lower damage/slower shooting speed over having to charge a weapon. Also, to be honest I think that if the Acolyte remains popular then we'll see the Acolyte getting some kind of REAL nerf (because as much as people complain about the reduced damage/not charging being a nerf the fact that so many people could still use the gun so successful means it wasn't a truly terrible thing) so look forward to complaining about that ^_^

Because instead of buffing the weapons people use the least considering they're terribad like the Falcon, instead they nerf viable options for the general players that don't have a Harrier X.

Falcon is not terribad. It's a utility weapon (kind of like the Acolyte).
Also they do buff underused weapons.

If they remove the charge again, they will no doubt nerf the Acolyte further. This is what kept it in check before and they're hoping will do again.

That valkyrie buff barely qualifies as a buff, seriously. 7 damage? Are you kidding me?
Yet the nerfs? Acolyte reversion, Stim Pack cut to half, etc?

Well I never said they were quick about it. But they have given many weapons buffs over time that made them usefull, good or even great.
Compare the Wraith or Mattock before and now.

And really the Acolyte has more damage per shot than the Ultra-Rare and heavier Scorpion, while being easier to master. The Scorpion has a lot more peculiarities to it, for it to just have more DPS (against health armor).
Meanwhile all the Falcon has got going for itself is the bigger AoE and a larger clip (with a bigger reload time). Now the Falcon could definitely use a buff, but it's not certainly not terrible, yet the Acolyte blows it out of the water.

Snipers all recieved massive buffs along with shieldgate nerf. And this is just but a fraction of the string of buffs they had in last three months. Why do people insist on forgetting those?
