O my tears won't stop falling! I can't use charge weapons for $hi7!

Goodbye my sweet easy to use Acolyte!

Seriously, I suck with charged weapons.

I used the acolyte just fine when it had charge mechanic, so yeah.
Just got to get used to it again.

Sure. But every time someone says "no" in this thread I get a tad happier. Good to see BioWare's actions actually affected all the newbies suddenly using the Acolyte on every character when they removed the charge-up.

I'll still use it on the Fury, but I'll need to test it a bit.

Honestly, the removal of the charge threw me off a little at first. I'm happy for its return.

I just used it on plat with my Vorcha Sentinel. Took a little bit of getting used to again, but no worries in the end.

+1

Why would you want to shoot a gun by simply pulling the trigger?

Bioware please add a charge mechanic to the:
- Black Widow;
- Harrier;
- Hurricane;
- Paladin;
- Reegar;
- Saber;
- Talin;
- Typhoon.

People really want to wait for a second to use a gun. Posted Image

Nope, going back on the shelf with the other charge weapons. It's a stupid, clunky mechanic, especially bad when it doesn't allow popping off a quick shot at reduced damage, which is the saving grace of charge guns like the GPS.

That already exists, try firing the Reegar in half-second bursts.

Lol no. It was utter rubbish with the charge mechanic. A marauder/phantom/rocket trooper can kill you during that charge up. Stagger needs to happen NOW, not 1.5s from now. This is a total destruction of the weapon, and by extension the adept class.

It hardly destroys Adepts classes. If anything it might be a nerf to the flamer classes. I honestly think the Geth Trooper and both Vorcha will feel the hit the most.

Charge, run around corner, fire at enemy with shield. Shields gone, use a biotic power and the marauder is dead, didn't even have a chance to shoot.:bandit:

Can't believe that you complain on of the most op weapon is restored to the way it was suppose to be, the charge mechanism was the only thing that kept it from being op. It's still only the reegar carbine that can beat it in shield striping bosses.

I hate charge mechanics, but we'll see. If I really dun like the feel of the reversion, I'll just use a UML scorp or talon (and go back to head sniping for the latter).

I would accualy like to have a charge like the reegar, and some more weapon also (ex Javelin), on the Acolyte but longer. Would make it a little bit easier to fire. If it also make it impossible to glitch, dunno, they should make all chargeble weapon that way

lol no.

I use weapons based on completing challenges. I completed the Acolyte's challenges back when it was absurdly overpowered.

On some kits. Nice thing is, now I can stop using it as my go-to sidearm. Thank goodness.

Didn't use it before when it had the charge weapon, probably not going to use it in the future.

It was awesome chargeless with incendiary IV+warp+throw on an AA. They could at least make it similar to the arc pistol and have it fire reduced strength on the button press.

I don't care for the charge mechanism on the other weapons either, so it's probably just personal preference. I doubt I will use it again.

   Yes... not as much, though.

   I never really developed the taste (or skill) for charged weapons. This is the first one I'm likely to take the time to learn how to use. For now, I do a fraction the DoT that I used to, but we'll see how it goes.

   I definitely had a better hang of it after a couple of games, but Silver might not have been the difficulty to use it that way for the first time.
