Hmmm what about Bioware makes a little trailer showing that researchers found intact life pods on Ilos and the Protheans are joining the war? :>

Probably not on Ilos, but maybe hidden somewhere on Mars or any other planet originally inhabited by Protheans.

Ilos was top secret, the prothean scientists survived there and build the conduit :o

But the collectors probably destroyed every pod except Javik's.

When a prothean beacon is found buried deep in the keeper tunnels, Citadel Security send for the only person known to understand them....

After the Protheans successfully traveled from Ilos to the Citadel and changed the Keepers signal they would have to decide what to do with themselves. Everyone assumes they would be trapped on the Citadel and have died long ago, but that particular team was extremely resourceful. Perhaps they did hide away on the citadel, locked in stasis pods (which draw power from the citadel), but didn't anticipate that the keepers would remove the additional beacon they hid that would alert the next cycle to their presence. There is scheduled to be some single layer Citadel dlc coming up.

I was just thinking about this, since there's obviously more to the Citadel than was known. (As shown in the SP ending.)

"Hello, test subject! Ziegrif here, founder and CEO of Krogan Science: the best damn applied sciences company on Tuchanka. How good is the science here? Get a load of this: I'm dead! Now, you're probably asking yourself, Zieg, how is that possible? Are you some manner of Dracula? Or a Frankenstein? Or, depending on your cultural heritage, a Blackula or Latin Frankenstein? Nope! Just science. As of this morning, I have been resurrected inside of a computer. That aside, situation normal. So. Continue testing."

Javik was on Eden Prime.

and all those pods failed, were destroyed, or shut off....cept for his of course.

It would be poor form indeed if they suddenly said "During the last days of galatic civilization, we just so happen to find a bunch of slumbering 50k year old beings that we couldnt find in the close to 3k years that we have been on the Citadel. And oh yeah...THEY ARE ALL WARRIORS!  cuz they didnt wanna go down fighting like true protheans. We didnt want to keep scientist or doctors or anything like that...JUST WARRIORS."

DO NOT WANT.

This hurts you.

the SCIENTISTs that didnt die of lack of food or water hid only to get caught by the Reapers when they laid siege to the Citadel, eventually conquering it and slaying the populace. Thatis assuming the keepers didnt see them as a foriegn object and "remove" them way before that.

/end of Story.

never said Protheans couldnt be added.  They arent in there at this very moment.  so im WINNING baby!! TIGER BLOOD!!!

and source for what? dude says the prothean scientists MAY have survived on the citadel to hide away.  Yet...Vigil says it is likely they died of starvation or exposure. In ME1...it is stated several times the keepers run the show on the Citadel. They move junk around alot. They are attuned to the place. In ME2 they drag dead bodies to the vats or whatever. In ME3 they are messing around with all the corpses....so it is safe to assume...the Keepers would have treated the prothean SCIENTISTs as foriegn objects...assuming of course they managed to find a spot to hide and somehow create a stasis chamber. But i highly doubt the prothean SCIENTISTs knew more about the Citadel than the Keepers and were able to find a 50k+ year hiding spot.....  Assuming the keepers didnt rearrange the chambers of course. And if the prothean SCIENTISTs somehow survived and didnt go into stasis...they would need numbers so they could reproduce...cuz their numbers were sooooo small. and thus, they would have greeted the Asari when they arrived on station. If the prothean SCIENTISTs did somehow hide for all that time...they sure as hell got caught when the Reapers took over the Citadel in ME3! so um yeah....

Until the day you do bring facts and not assumptions, it hasn't been nice discussing with you.

It wasn't really a fanfic. It was a brief synopsis of how they could add Protheans into multiplayer tied in with the upcoming citadel sp dlc. The point is, lore doesn't prevent Protheans from being addeed to multiplayer so long as there is a reasonable explanation.

until they do...it is fanfic. and not a very good one at that.

but i agree...if IT is included in SP (cuz of LORE) it SHOULD be included in MP....but i highly doubt they will be adding them.

If we are getting the Chakram Launcher, I wonder how powerful it'll be at X.

And if it is powerful, how absurd would the TGI make it. Forcing BioWer to nerf it back into the stone age like the Krysae.

THe writing for a single player explanation would have to be excellent (I mean extremely, re****ulously, absurdly good) for me to feel comfortable with protheans in MP for this game. THey could be the most entertaining kits to play and it would still bug me unless the SP counterpart was just the best thing since the wheel and made everyone forgive them the ending debacle (and made Indoc Theorists renounce the theory).

They could put them in ME4's multi and I'll be down... the ideas folks have for getting them into this game (a small batch of pods found, cloned from javik, whatever) would work for me in the context of a later game with those explanations or a prequel (duh).

Would this be sufficient?
- new SP DLC introducing Collectors. Javik centered, new dialog recorded
- Collectors keep ~100 Protheans in cryostasis as source for making more Collectors. All male.
- Protheans are from a different century and have nothing in common with Javik but willing to fight
- Javik is still the last of its kind but we have Protheans in MP

did javik say that everything under the empire eventually called itself prothean?

I think the least f****tarded way to introduce Protheans to multiplayer is by simply putting them there. No explanation. No comment. As Mass Effect canon is concerned, all Protheans but one are dead. And the ones we would be playing in multiplayer are just there for entertainment purposes.

That would be the only acceptable way to do it, in my opinion.

But it's not going to happen. And let's not turn this thread into a Prothean debate, anyway. Either you bump one of the 9,376 threads about it that already exist, or create another one.
