Well, I don't think they're linked that way, personally. Maybe they're just linked thematically, that is, the new co-op missions are related to the Citadel storyline in some way. But theoretically you could make it so that only those who buy the SP DLC can access the co-op portion of the MP DLC, since this won't segmentalize the horde mode player base.

That way you'll have MP players that normally don't, pay for and download SP DLC. Can't imagine there being a lot of those though. Anyway, pure speculation and hypothesizing this.

Don't hold your breath. All signs point to new krogan,volus humans,salarians,maybe turians,but no protheans. There's even rumours that one of the salarians will have snap freeze grenades, but no where has there even been a hint of Protheans. Salarians yes, femturians,maybe,protheans unfortunatly no. Sorry.

To anyone still sceptical about the DLC, the image of the Krogan is surely enough proof- it is quite obvious that Biower is uncomfortable talking about it ATM. The krogan has a holstered weapon as well...something enemies don't have, and is clearly ground pounding the extract on Goddess; patience is a virtue.

It's kinda funny.
The news coverage for ME3 DLC has brought out giant ineptitude in the gaming press.
No one knows anything really so people are just making stuff up and reporting on fan conjecture.

Just another thing enforcing the adage ''don't trust the press take a look for yourself''.
