Seems like a lot of people are burned out over the ME3 ending. Does anyone want ME3-2: Sheppard Returns?

Is there a Kickstarter equivalent for paying a company to not make stuff? I'd put in $20 or so to stop that.

Makes me wish they were really intending to bring Shepard back all along.

Cannot bring Shep back, as he/she really never left. Resurrection leaves no shep buried in the rubble..

It's funny to me how everyone misses that one, simple truth of the story. Life in the MEU is totally different than we expected.

Shepard really only 'represents' humanity, in any event.

Well I've thought about it. If ME4 is the start of a new trilogy. I'll get ME4 if ME6 ends well. I'm not going to invest the emotion into the series like I did this last one. The trust just isn't there.

Sorry you feel that way me I have complete faith in Bioware.

Well, in order for me to have that faith, it would have to be even wilder than blind faith.  I'd have to totally ignore all that they've said (MP not needed for SP, the galaxy will be a wasteland postME3-oh, where did people get the idea the galaxy would be destroyed, no ABC ending, the endings will be so varied it will be like no two people are playing the same game, choices matter, you don't condemn a race to extinction based upon what might happen, ME3 is the perfect entry point into the series and it will be like who cares if you romanced someone-it's all out war, you won't even care what happened in the other 2 games and who'd remember that, anyway-I can't remember something that happened 8 years ago, choices matter, all of the player's questions will be answered at the end, and more).

I can't forget how they considered us all to be too dim to understand what the original endings were about-that we needed clarification (that is for something that is unclear to the viewer, yet most of us understood what the choices meant just fine) and closure (something they patently did not even provide).  And upon release and on twitter, they kept saying (implying) it was the fans' problem and not their own.  Faith, good for you.  I have faith in some things based upon either past good experiences or blind faith when my heart knows something my head may not.  But when someone appears intent upon smashing trust and faith, I figure they don't want it so I don't give it.

The difference between you and I is that I have faith that they could do something great, but you believe the facts prove that they will do something great.  They have shown me they are in some crucial moments unable to follow through on what they could do and I believe you ignore much of their past behavior.  I have no reason why, but I think it's a choice that a lot of people make.  They don't think hype should have to be lived up to-even when it exists to get people to pre-order and when it's found to be untrue.  I believe that unfulfilled hype is a lie.  I don't trust or have faith when people do that.  It's not hate-it's reality.  There's a vast difference between what they could do and what they've shown themselves to be willing to do.  And to top it off they seem very willing to say anything in order to bridge that gap.  I want to have faith, but like trust it now has to be earned.  I never said I wouldn't buy, but for me there are conditions.

There is one thing I must say. You and I disagree often but you are always civil and I try to do the same I appreciate that. I can't count how mnay times I've been called a **** and other names much worse so for that I thank you my friend. Now on to your post. I agree with everything you said but I don't feel it applies other than the MP and ABC ending. I think they truly thought they did make it so you could get the best ending with no MP but inadvertantily made the requirement too high thus they fixed it. As to the ending I think that was their intent before the original ending was scrapped then they boxed themselves into a corner. I think they should at least admit that but I don't have a problem with what we got. That being said I don't agree with the statement they made regarding the ending however I do believe all it needed was what they did. This is just my opinion no need on spreading it around.:D

Maybe. Shepard and friends are pretty central to the Mass Effect galaxy for me, so I'm not nearly as pumped about the idea as I was for ME3 pre-release. It could be interesting if it sticks to roleplaying. I honestly don't know anything about it. If it's a plain linear FPS I may try it, but eh. No Shepard, Garrus, Kaidan, Tali, Joker.... not as much fun :/

If ME4 disproves IT then I'll probably get it.

yeah, why not.
hope they will bring back the "strong abilities with long cooldown" system from ME1,
because now it's just stupid ability spamming.

Oh, sure; anyone who thinks Shep died either wants her dead or is just confused. I just don't want another game with Shep; that's all I want from the anti-Kickstarter. Kickstopper?

I don't plan on getting Mass Effect 4. The way I see it until they fix the ending of Mass Effect 3 which seems like they aren't.

Mass Effect 1 got to destroy Saren and Sovereign Great ending

Mass Effect 2 got to destroy Collectors; Badass Ending.

Mass Effect 3 get the chance to destroy the Reapers but you end up killing the Geth and Edi after you just prove the Reapers wrong that after you unite the Quarians and Geth. That mission seems irrelevant with the destroy ending; horrible ending!

I won't make my decision on whether I'll get it new or used or whether or not I'll get it at all until after it has been released and I've read up on reviews, people's reactions and spoiled myself on the story. However, I will not be pre-ordering it or buying on launch.

Probably yes, but no pre-order this time as a punishment for all the lies, arrogance and disrespect to the fans. I still think that ending must be expanded from total failure to glorious victory depending on EMS and your in-game choices. Also I am not going to buy the rest of ME3 DLCs until Bioware stops acting like messiah whose work is carved in stone and can't be changed. There is no point now anyway, because game gives no reward at the end, only death, galaxy rape and genocide.

We don't even know the genre yet. It's a little premature to say.

So long as it's not an MMO or a social media game, I don't see why I wouldn't get it, but who knows?

I don't get the logic of 'oh I'll buy it but I won't preorder it, that'll show Bioware.'

Either way they'll eventually get your money so that's not much of a 'punishment' is it.

No, I won't get it

hmmm let me help you out on this ,it is called Mass Effect 4 so I would assume that genre would be RPG and something that deals with space aliens and big creatures that threaten all life in the galaxy and we are given the choice to destroy that threat but don't really get that chance because the logic is thrown out the window the last minute and given a spiritual meaning which makes everything seem illogical and unsatisfying!

I am not saying I hate Mass Effect as a whole. It is one of my favorite series but I just can't get myself to replay the ending of ME3 again. It just seems wrong as Wrex puts it!

Will wait and see and find out a hell of a lot about it first (probably requiring a lot of spoiling I'd wish I hadn't done if it turns out to be good).

Not if you buy it used! <3 And even purchased new, purchased at a fraction of the original price from a retailer instead of Origin makes a HUGE difference to EA's bottom line.

They'll have to answer at least two questions:

Why should I trust any character I create to not have a bridge dropped on him?

Why should I get invested in their story?

Nope I went back and played NWN and remembered why I loved bioware games but I can't even manage to sum up the excitement to play me 1 or 2 because of how bad 3's ending was I'm just sticking around for the last dragon age since I already invested in the first 2 and am hoping it's not a complete cluster****.

1) No pre-orders
2) YouTube it first
3) Check BSN for actual content, trust me people WILL be picking it over with a fine tooth comb, then form your own decisions from step 2
4) Decide if its worth your time and money

Of course the game will be "spoilt" for you but then again, you won't be blind sided like with ME3's ending.
