It's to soon to make a decision. I mean we know absolutely nothing about it at the moment and I don't even know if 4 is the right one because it could be a prequel for all we know. That and after all of the controversy surrounding the 3rd game it's really difficult especially as a die hard fan myself.

No!

Mass effect (and not just ME3) died on the end-run to the citadel. And since it is considered art, no resurrection possible.

to misquote another poster:

:devil:pre-cancel ordered:devil:

No - 90% chance
Maybe - 10% chance

Honestly I know nothing about it but judging from bioware's recent work it's going to be a mindless tps with a crap story, tacked on multiplayer, lots of day 1 dlc, no mod support, will obviously be aimed at the cod kids - MORE EXPLOSIONS! - and be Mass Effect only in name. Don't know about you but that doesn't sound appealing to me.

I have a life so I cannot sit down, and play multiplayer for hour on end, so if it is linked to the game, then I going to say no.
Ir Mass Effect 4 is a prequel, then I am going to say no. Prequels are normally one big ego trip for a creator, and they have to be earned.
If Mass Effect 4 is more about the galactic powerful corporations and the different mercenaries, then I might buy it.
If Mass Effect 4 has an ending like Mass Effect 3, then I am not going to "get" it. I am still trying to figure why the Reapers didn't have anybody in the Citadel to stop Shepard beside the IM.

Probably, depends on what happens to it I guess. I got my preferences after all, I buy a lot of games but not everything and every type on the market.

I likely wouldn't buy a mass effect football game.. I don't buy sports games....

Why? I am not letting the lackluster final minutes of the third game ruin the great time I had with the rest of it, and the entire franchise. Obviously if they start releasing info that makes me think the game is going to suck ass I will revise my opinion, but as it stands I still really enjoy the ME franchise and I want to see where they go next.

i sold ME3 as it's a piece of crap, i'll rent ME4 as i'll no doubt blitz through it because it will be a shooter over RPG, Bioware have now become the new square-enix to me, i used to buy FF as soon as they were released, now i dont even know what number they're on.

After reviews, youtube and a demo I'll probably wait 'till it goes on discount. Then I'll probably poke it with a stick and see if a catalyst or a synthesis falls out. If that doesn't happen then I might get it.

I'll pass until I hear several player reviews telling me its at the very least a decent game.

If ME4 looks promising I'll buy it. No question about it.
ME3 may have been a failure for me. But I still think the IP has potential.

They ruined a lot more than the last 15 minutes...

Like the franchise past Deception. And then the nightmare that is their PR department. And the fact that they seem to be more interested in an action TPS game than the RPG storytelling. I only still hang out here in a vain belief that they will come to their senses.

There's a Mass Effect 4 already? But 3 just came out this year!

Holy crap, can you say rushed??

Way to jump to conclusions. Development for Mass Effect 4 hasn't even begun.

Began last month, actually. But the projected release date isn't until late 2014-early 2015, and those usually get pushed back.

Sorry but that info was false.

Yep, Day 1

Still, we know they're already working on ME4 from official blogs and interviews and that they're in very early process (still deciding stuff like whether it will be a sequel or prequel, whether to use save games etc)

What? So they can pull another Harbinger and have him leave on me again? I think I'll save my money. I've had enough of that B.S. I already pointed out the flaws of the game and they did nothing to correct any of them. That tells me that they don't give a **** about the single player campaign. If they did, then they would do something to improve it based on the feedback not release completely unrelated DLC and an Extended Cut that just explains things.

We don't need an explanation, we need a better game. Why should Mass Effect 4 be any different? It wont be. The only thing that would make me purchase Mass Effect 4 is if it proved the IT and resulted in Shepard waking up but we all know that isn't going to happen.

I'll wait a year and will probably buy it on sale. I don't pay 60€ for an incomplete story.

So you're ok with Miranda getting shafted? All of ME2 being inconsequential? The fact that female turians are more important than decent sidequests?

Not a Mirimancer but Miranda got a fair bit of content in ME3 despite not being a squadmate. Her family conflict was also resolved tastefully.

I'd say Jacob and Samara got the worst treatment. As for ME2 being inconsequential, I don't think that's true. A lot of the choices you make during your squadmates loyalty missions have a strong impact in ME3. Hell, simply not doing the loyalty missions could mean life or death for them in ME3. They should have done more with the Collector Base decision but aside from that an import playthrough vs a default playthrough is as different as night and day.

I would obviously have preferred for Miranda to be involved in the core Cerberus arc, and for more content for the ME2 squaddies in general, but their lack of screen time (which Miranda does get a bit of a premium of) did not ruin the game. If my wish list was fulfilled, it would simply elevate a really good game into a great game.

There is no such thing as the perfect game, but I think one can realize the work that does go into the existing content, and to declare everything as wasted simply because my personal preferences weren't catered to would be a bit assinine. IMO of course.

Right now I plan to retire from Mass Effect along w/ Shepard, but that could change. So, it depends, but at this point of the game, no. I do not plan on getting it.

At this current moment i'm done with Mass Effect but since we don't know anything about ME4 i'm not saying never. It can just be what pull me back into the franchise again, just aswell it can be something i won't buy. Spring will probably decide much
