I would obviously have preferred for Miranda to be involved in the core Cerberus arc, and for more content for the ME2 squaddies in general, but their lack of screen time (which Miranda does get a bit of a premium of) did not ruin the game. If my wish list was fulfilled, it would simply elevate a really good game into a great game.

There is no such thing as the perfect game, but I think one can realize the work that does go into the existing content, and to declare everything as wasted simply because my personal preferences weren't catered to would be a bit assinine. IMO of course.

I realize the work that went into the game. BW got worked to the point of exhaustion to meet EA's schedule. This of course meant that they delivered a sub-standard game. If you think fetch quests, auto-dialogue, lack of player agency in my character, and just general short-sidedness in regards to people being killed off via twitter and having pomised important elements (like the Rachni) get little more than a cameo worth a certain number that adds up with other numbers to determine what endings you can get without showing any other useful contribution is, then sure power to you.

It's more than a matter of my expectations not being fulfilled. It's that everything was left out of focus to tell they're 'war story'.

The straw that breaks the camel's back is BW's response to it. I have no interest in engaging business (by buying their products) in a company that treats their community like the way they have been. I'd seriously be ok with a 'sorry we screwed up for this, let's try to make it right.'

Right, because I have obviously stated that I love every aspect of the game to death outside of the endings. I have my own quibbles with the game, but as I've said, they are not enough to make me denounce the game as if it's a piece of ****.

How about this, you accept that I have an opinion that doesn't mesh with what you think. It'll be easier this way, I promise.

ME1, 2, & 3 were all good enough for ME4 to deserve a try (unless it sounds truly terribad).

unless bioware come out and say the endings were meant to be taken litterally and that they are making synthesis cannon, then yeah

not without a price drop of at least 50% and without knowing what the general consensus is first.

plus, who the lead character might be. if it's a krogan, hell naw.

Can't say until there's more information on the game which I doubt happens any time soon. Maybe ME4 will actually be good or maybe it won't be. If it's good I buy it if not then no. Though after DA2 and ME3 it is harder to convince me.

If it's good game why not... Hard to say anything yet. But who knows, maybe they learn from their mistakes and it end up better than the original trilogy. It's going to be hard to let Shepard go though.

I probably won't get it. Bioware appears to be going for deep personal stories rather than deep philosophical ones. Also, I find their visual character designs kind of childish. I think I'll go back to reading fiction.

Just not interested in going on another one of these rides.

I still don't know how that can make a Mass Effect 4?

If they create a new enemy, it will never be as galaxy threatening as the Reapers (= lame).
Also, a prequal will be meh :/ because we all know how it ends, and a post ME3 game is not possible because they would have to make one of the endings canon, e.g. destroging everything RPG stands for.

After ME3, my future Mass Effect pre-orders have been reduced to 'rent-on-release'.

Infact, what I might do is Pre-order ME4 Spesh eddition with all the goodies, just incase, but then not open it, so I can get a full refund after discovering that it is a load of tosh renting it.

As it stands right now I most likely won't get it at all and if I do it'll be a used game purchase. What can change my stance on this? Simple....ending DLC to provide a real reunion scene with my LI and party after the breath scene. True closure.

I just left reading a thread abt the CB choice. Which made me sad and disappointed all over again.

They did a good job with the Genophage and Rannoch stuff, but I was very disappointed in the fact that the CB and Rachni choices boiled down to absolutely nothing, but sum measly ems points.

Overall, I was very disappointed with ME3. It was also the first time I ever pre-ordered a game. A CE, no less. I definitely won't be doing that again. If ME3 is an example of where they want to go w/ME --then No. I won't be buying ME4 because that's simply not to my taste.

It's still a long way off, tho So, I will wait and see. Observe.

I'm not planning on buying ME4, nor any other BioWare products in the future. However, I am open to convincing on the subject. If the fan response (not media response) seems to indicate that the game is something I would enjoy, then I may purchase it at some future date.

Well the game is a total PoS. Not being able to play and characterize Shepard alone is a gamebreaker. And the fact BW has openly said they want to keep going down that line tells me that they aren't the same company they used to be, and are not worthy of my dollar.

I'd rather be petty and dislike you for it. It's easier and more satisfying.

Yes ---

As much as the ending pissed me off, there just isn't any other game series that matches ME.

I recently bought Witcher 2 due to the hype I heard here (and stellar reviews on other sites)... and my god, it is so freaking lame (I had a better description, but would probably lead to being banned). W2 is wooden, boring, annoying, etc. The 'hero' is a giant dork that I feel no connection to. Maybe it's because I'm not a big fan of dungeons and dragons and LOTR type stories (don't hate 'em, just not a big fan)... but I'm definitely not immersed in the story like I am with the ME trilogy.

Can't wait for the next installment, and I pray that BW has learned from their mistakes in the 'original trilogy'. If Mass Effect 4 is a FPS or some such nonsense, then I'll be quite saddened... but I'm hoping for a return to form.

An added bonus to the next mass effect game would be Shepard being apart of it. I believe that shepard wasnt brought back from the dead just to die again so killing him off so soon wouldnt be good. So I believe Shepard lives and should be brought back for a whole new adventure in Mass Effect 4. Remember there's a lot of rebuilding to do and with the reapers defeated and gone , the conflict over, but theres still a big universe with many unkowns out there waiting to be discovered and with new discoveries sometimes comes new dangers or conflict. So i think Shepard can still do a lot for the mass effect franchise. Now as long as long as bioware goes back to making mass effect 4 like it was originally in Mass Effect 1(a true Action RPG) I would still say yes to buying a Mass effect 4 with or without Shepard even though i prefer with him.

It all started with ME1 and it was a true Action RPG with more dialogue, bigger inventory selection (guns, armor, biotic amps, omni tools, mods and etc), open worlds that you can free roam in like you did in ME1, vehicles both ground (ME1) or Air(ME2), more squadmates (ME1 and ME2), having the choice to pick not only what weapons your squadmates use but also what armor, biotic amp, omni tool, etc they use too (ME1) and of course ME1 wasn't perfect so updated graphics (ME2 and ME3), better gameplay and controls (ME2 and ME3), a multiplayer mode (ME3), and of course whatever else bioware feels can make the game better as always new game means you'll see and get some new changes. I'm sorry for the wall of text but I want people to know exactly why they need to make the next mass effect as close to the original as possible.

Ill give some examples of things that Mass Effect originally had before joining up with EA and then changing the game from a little in ME2 to completely in ME3. For example it would be nice if the weapons, biotic amp, omni tool, armor, and etc would be listed by brand Elanus, Sirta, Kassa, Devlon, Haliat, Armax, Elkoss, Armani, Hahne Karden, and much more like they were before.Plus it was nice to be able to pick and equip not only your weapons and armor but equipment like biotic amps and omni tools like in ME1 and you could even choose what armor, weapon, biotic amp, omni tool, and etc your squadmates wore and used too which I'll elaborate more on below.

I really miss how you could find or buy armor for different races for example you had turian, krogan, human, and quarian armor just for starters and those types of armor only fit those races but depending on how you build your character you could wear turian or quarian armor if your build was set up to wear heavy or light armor. Theres way more good things i could mention like for example how you had to aquire corporation licenses to be able to buy more and better stock from vendors which I liked since it sometimes required you to do favors or missions.

It's up to BioWare now. They keep asking what we want and then giving the opposite or ignoring their fanbase altogether in the hopes that the ones that are unhappy with ME3 will quietly leave and never come back. They need to win me back after everything that has happened.

- I'm still waiting, BioWare.
