ME3 was very bad game and ruined the franchise. No, I am not the one who thinks that everything was "perfect" except for the ending. Whole game was a mess and Bioware will not get my $ until they will remake ME3.

I was instantly let down when couldnt import from ME1/2....as the one i had to then create was just bizzare looking, then met vega whom i didnt know, luckily then saw ash as for a moment i thought i was sold the wrong game......but the game was mediocre at best but the ending travesty masked all of that. ME3 is a continued trend of substandard gaming from bioware.......DA2/TOR/ME3......and aslong as the EA logo is present then there is no hope for ME4.

This. The quality of bioware games has taken a nosedive since DA2 and hasn't been increasing since. DA3 is their chance to show they can improve their games but I'm not counting on it. So that means no pre order. At the rate they're going, ME4 will be a generic tps/fps with a 10 hour campaign (max) and a huge focus on multiplayer, paid map packs, microtransactions and every other thing that makes me hate the current shooter trend. If EA has their way they're going to release 1 shooter a year. BF one year, ME the next, then back to BF. It's obvious they want their very own yearly COD release.

BioWare know what needs to happen for a lot of people to be interested in it. So let's see.

And definitely no pre-ordering their products, ever. Those have been pre-cancelled.

I agreed...

If "renting it" counts as getting it, then probably.

Well, they keep saying ME4 is not a Shepard story and they also keep saying that they aren't doing anything with the ME3 endings. So with those 2 things in mind, I will not be purchasing ME4.

This also...

No I wont. I'm also one of the people who never thought "ME3 was an amazing game except the last 10 minutes!" I thought it was poor from the very start. There were a few parts I liked but the bad far outweighed the good. Mass Effect used to be my favorite series.

Bioware should not make Mass Effect 4 until they sit down with Hideo and ask him how easy it was to replace Snake with Raiden for the majority of MGS2. On that note they should also sit down with Ubisoft and ask them how Conner is doing succeeding Ezio.

I'm going to need a really good reason why I should get invested in a new character. Why should I trust Bioware not to drop another bridge?

Let me see.  If ME4 is the first in a trilogy do I buy it and risk an atrocious ending that will ruin a lot of the nextgen ME experience for me after what, another 5 years and 100plus hours of gameplay and caring about a story?  Do I buy it if it's Mass Effect: Gears of Duty?  Do I buy it if Bioware decides that gun types matter more than a great dialogue wheel and if they decide that it's better to watch a game than play it?  Do I buy it if it sets up one plot and then figures that should be abandoned at some unknown time in the future?  Or, maybe the hero we might get to create a face for and name will this next time end up sitting in a vat of blood while his/her/its dying counterpart will be ripped limb from limb as his/her/its eyes/vision devices are ripped from his/her/its cranial region orb sockets and his/her/its brain/cpu/bluebox is used to create freeform art that players can bid on to buy using microtransactions with real money and/or credits earned in MP and SP.  Maybe MP will be mandatory or the game will self-destruct.

See, I kind of have to have some answers that may be a long time in coming.

There will be no launch day.  There will however be a pre-launch day where only those with the secret key that you get when pre-ordering at least a year in advance will be welcome.  Those who get pre-launch (also known as pre-pre-orders) will be the only ones to get an ending to the game series when the series ends in oh, 2020.  Everyone else is out of luck.

Pre-order or within a month of launch?
No.

After ME3's ending, there is no way that I'll throw money at this series without first knowing what I will be getting.
So it'll be youtube, see if I like what I see and perhaps wait till its discounted.
Not like there aren't other action adventure shooters out there vying for my time.

IF, and that's a rather big if, it goes back to its RPG roots, I might purchase it sooner than later.

Me too, on it depends.

Because ME is the Bioware game series I was interseted in, I don't play Dragon Age, and all we know in ME4 is that there is no more shepard and we are not playing as another soldier.

Only a fool wouldn't pick up Mass Effect 4. It's a brand new character, new everything. Even if you are left bitter it's new! 33% of people who took that poll shouldn't even be here lol but they continue to be here almost a YEAR later and will continue, and will also continue to purchase the next Mass Effect because no matter how disappointed they claim to be, they are addicted because they know, no other franchise or company has this much customization and choice. They are more guaranteed to buy future games because they can't help themselves and they prove it by remaining here posting negative rants months after a game is released.

The rest of the world has moved on to other new games and anticipating upcoming games yet these individuals remain dwelling.

As once a man who proudly displayed his Bioware wallpaper, I have lost a decent amount trust in Bioware with SWTOR, ME3 and Dragon Age 2. Unless Dragon Age 3 is NEAR perfect I doubt I will put any more investment into anything with the Bioware. Of course the community is too much fun to leave alone.

@Dridengx: Your are welcome to your opinion, but I would take note of the number of people who haven't downloaded ANY DLC for ME3. MP, EC, Levi/Omega; nada. If people aren't even interested in the free DLCs, why would we shell out even more money for future games?

We remain here because there is still a faint shell of a hope that things can be changed. That the game will be fixed, that EA will back off and give Bioware the room and time they need to work, that a series that we really loved won't become a pale imitation of yet another cr*p FPS. Nothing ever got changed because people shut up and accepted the status quo. Nor will we stand by and watch as a vampirEA destroys something we love. Think of this as the real-life version of the Refuse ending.
