Haha, if anything I've been too liberal with my spending, I bought Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 CE editions, and what a mistake that was.

Then again, given that you spell "qualifications" as "qaulifications" I can assume that your McDonalds remark comes from personal experience?

Not that I have any problem with poor spelling in general, but if you're calling somebody stupid, you better make sure you don't out yourself as a moron in the process.

Honestly it depends. I'm not going to commit on a game not even close to being finished, that's just foolish. We don't really know anything about it.

Agreed, there are just to many unknows at this point.

No.

I would buy me3 DLC if it has content with the ME2 squadmates. But at the moment bw isn't getting any money from me.

No!

Bioware is the best example for other devs of how NOT to handle a crisis that kills your own fanbase.

No need to be rude. And at least someone who works at Mickey D's is working. Better than many people collecting unemployment.

We have a saying in the Army.

Some people are being all they can be flipping burgers at Mickey D's.

Sorry mates, but you guys got screwed on the sperm lottery.

Well, it's all subjective, isn't it?

Some people work for the Army, some people are scientists or high-level executives, etc.

I dont mean this as disrespect (as Iam in the US Navy myself) but the people at Mickey D's are the same people in OUR millitary.

You dont see people with masters in the millitary unless they are officers.

Being a part of the military is one of the most unproductive jobs ever.

To answer the OP properly then. The answer's no.  No I won't be buying ME4 or any other future Bioware product.

Perhaps, but I rather like my job. I'd like to think I do more than brief colonels on SMART and SHARP powerpoints.

Death by Powerpoint is no joke.

Absolutely true. Does having two bachelor's count? (They aren't too different. Political Science and International Studies).

Come join us over on the dark side.

Anyways, the burger joke is about potential. It's true. For some people, the limit of their potential is fast food and asking people if they want fries.

Just as for some people, the only purpose in life for them is to serve as a grim warning to others.

I don't know, but I'm not going to buy it or not buy it without even seeing a trailer or preview of it. Only a **** would make up their mind with nothing to go on but the last game.

Call me a **** then. I thought ME3 was fine even before the Extended Cut.

The game was never going to be a success with certain members of this forum for four reasons.

1. Expectancy: Everybody had their own view of how it would end. When the game didn't pander to their whims, they raged.

2. Grudge: Lot of people were bitter over Dragon Age II's failings and were going to be extra critical of any of Bioware's future release. Looking at every small detail for Bioware's redemption or apology for daring to make a game they didn't like. And most of them didn't find it.

3. Purity: Lot of people didn't like how the gameplay evolved beyond the more traditional RPG style and more towards what they label as a "gears of war clone." But speaking as someone who played ME2-3 first before playing ME1, ME2 and 3 made the weaponry and armor a lot more unique as well as tightened up the combat.

4. Elitism: Lot of people felt Bioware was betraying them when they put ME on the PS3 and openly stated they wanted to attract a larger audience. They interpret that as a confession of "ruining ME's theme" just to get more players. They feel as if their "loyalty" to the franchise over the years makes them deserving of being pandered to. But I've played all three games and I don't see much difference at all besides the fact that gameplay improved. And the more consoles ME is for the better.

There are some pretty useless degrees out there, though. But yeah, that takes you to MCDonalds rather than the military.

Yes.

I love Mass Effect series too much to say no.

Is it possible to have a guilty pleasure being a video game?
Knowing all the flaws, holes and examples of bad writing but still enjoying the ride.
Well that's me.

You're quite correct; the game was never going to go over well with EVERYONE. However, you might take note that every single poll concerning the original ending got roughly a 90% disapproval rate with votes in the tens of thousands in some cases. One poll had 74,651 votes. (There's another one that was said to have nearly 300,000 votes, but I can't find the link for it so I won't use it.) 91% dislike. 6% liked it, but wanted a few changes made. Only 2% liked the ending as-is. Or how about the fact that it was so universally disliked that donations to a Child's Play charity made in the name of showing Bioware how strongly people felt about this, reached $80,000 in a matter of days before the charity was closed. Gamestop had so many returns that some stores stopped taking returns altogether. Amazon was giving full refunds to used games. The price of the game dropped like a rock, particularly when you compare it to games like Skyrim, which is still full price to this day, DESPITE having come out earlier. That is A LOT of upset customers! Do you feel that THAT many people fit into your bullet points?

I'm not going to comment on all of your points, but I'm puzzled by #3. You commented on how you disagree that ME3 is becoming another GoW clone and you mention the combat to support your point...but you don't mention the RPG part of the game at all. Do you personally dislike or not care about the RPG aspect? The lack of RPG elements is one of the biggest reasons usually cited as evidence of the game's FPS slide.

As for #4, I don't think it was as much that it was being released for the PS3, as it was that EA firmly stated that they were aiming on stealing the CoD audience. People who love an RPG tend to worry when the company making their games states that they want to attract an audience known for preferring to shoot things and ignore the story. They tend to become irate when it turns out their worries were spot on. By the way, before you say anything about the MP having been developed by a different studio and thus not having affected the SP, please take note that the MP was developed by the studio who made many of the sidequests in ME2. ME3 was notably lacking in sidequests. Further, games take budgets to make. Any budget going towards the MP is thus NOT going towards the SP. This does tend to affect said SP.

Mass Effect is dead.

Bioware says so.

EA demands it and will have it so.

The game we knew and loved, where we as Commander Shepard of any colour, male or female, could fight how we liked, love who we wanted (or no one at all), and had to make painful choices over the few to save the many...

...dead.

They killed Shepard in every way that counts to make certain of it.

Mass Effect 4 will not be Mass Effect in anything other than the name, and that's not enough.

We've already been told to STFU and deal with it by ME's own creators, and anyone who thinks that they're going to "fix" anything to "redeem" themselves is woefully shortsighted.

Save your money for Bioshock Infinite or GTA V.  Go buy Far Cry 3.

If you want kickass multiplayer, go grab any Unreal Tournament.  Even UT99 kicks ME-MP's ass seven ways from Saturday, and all permutations of it can be modded to whup ass even harder, right out of the box, unlike anything Bioware.

See?  There are more choices than just RGB.
