Or if you have an issue with that, 4/6/6/6/4
Homing nades aren't used for shooting across the map, they are a powerful extension of your fist best used at point blank range. Homing nade/melee kills one shielded mook, then since you just broke cloak, lay into something else with gunfire before the Tac Cloak damage window closes. Playing this guy super close quarters is exhilarating fun...

Homing nades are very effective against dragoons and bosses in generalNuclearTech76 wrote...

Why would a sniper drell be anywhere near a ravagerNuclearTech76 wrote...
Your DPS while dead equals 0%. Run that in plat and a Ravager crap pile will kill you.1badmage wrote...
The recon mine, yes. Those nades are 2400 damage each (3840 against armor). If you can get off 2 nades and a sniper shot all under cloak, I'd call that a win.
also given that the homing nades are slow you can kill even when you are dead:innocent:
Why would I need homing nades when I can kill a whole spawn before HG reaches it?
as you get many instances to launch nades at them before firing your
weapon/reload hiding with extra boom ( i always spec 4 ranks atleast)
and style points...who wouldnt want to punch enemies into an explosion

Homing Grenades can get you killed by a 'Goon squad pretty easily too, thanks to the long time it takes to release. They have their place Nuke Tech is pretty wrong on his thoughts of Homing Grenades and Ravagers though. A good strafe while releasing is a great way to do damage to Ravagers and more importantly take out the Swarmers before they get to you. It also comes in hand when there is a large group (5+ enemies including swarmers) and you can use an Atlas as a boom-pad.
Using a grenades on a sniping build seems to actually lower your practical DPS unless you are running uncommon weapons and below, or a Krysae and you need something to do in between that glorious wait.
I think you both are wrong.

I just played this kit for the first time ever tonight. 46664, Venom, Cryo ammo, AM3. It was fun and effective, but it seemed like my Recon Mine was suffering from off-host lag. About half of the time, when I fired it, it'd just disappear. Working as intended?
Also, Happy Hallowe'en.

You generally need to wait a second for your Recon Mine to actually shoot when off-host, but if it's completely disappearing then that must be pretty bad lag. Try again on your host.
Also, cool necro.

OK, thanks for the tip. I hate hosting, but if that's what it takes, I'll try it next time I host. So having the RM disappear off-host can be expected now and again?
Not usually.
The much more common bug is the "Tactical Cloak bug," where TC ends up cycling in a buggy way, and you get stuck with full duration and refresh every couple of times you try to use it. This can get really tricky with Remote Mine, because it increases the chance that you'll accidentally get stuck with RM's refresh.
Even when the bug is happening a lot, though, I don't find that it messes up the character much. I see it as nature's way of balancing out how awesome the Drell Assassin is.

Here's an interesting question.
What if the Asari infiltrator was named Assassin? She would have a more interesting nickname than any other character.
