Pls let me explain before flaming me. I have tried everything but nothing seems to work.....

I just bought a new laptop Acer Aspire 5935c
specs: P7450 Duo Core (2.13ghz) with 4GB ram, 500GB HD, Graphic card: ATI Radeon HD 4570 512MB

I installed the game and update to version 1.02
I had also installed the latest driver - catalist driver from ATI site.

During the installation everything went well. There was no error message. When i try to run the game, i says that i need to have physXloader.dll installed.

I tried installing manually from the CD, used the latest driver dated 26/12/09 and the one dated 16/08/09 all gave the same result. The program gave a fatal error message that says "installation ended prematurely because on an error" there was no further elaboration regarding the nature of the error.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, have you checked the details in your event viewer? Go to Start - Run and type (without quotes) "eventvwr" and check your application log. You will probably find an error there. Double click it to see if there are more details.

Did you run the file named "PhysX_9.09.0408_SystemSoftware.exe" located on the dragon age cd in the software folder?

If you get any errors during installation and you are using windows vista/windows 7 try right clicking on it and choose run as administrator.

Thanks Herethos... This is the first time after hours of searching that I have found something else to try....I'll let people know if I get this working.

This Physx is a real pain in the but for non-Nvidia people!

Any kind of Search, even the terrible, bad thing available in-house here, would have located MANY message threads in which the same problem had been answered completely.  Why you chose to pick the only one that did not come to an absolute conclusion, I just cannot understand.

I've read a tonne of posts, and this is the first time that something DIFFERENT was suggested.

Believe me, I've tried many different things.

I just want to play my game!
