[Fnord Lightbringer II]

I set out to try the huntress specced for meelee.  Basically, the idea was to see power synergy (meelee passives evolution #6) in action.

I can't remember ever failing so horribly with a class as with Huntress in meelee mode.  Basically, when I meelee something out of cloak, it usually dies, but his friends from 5m away kill me while the game plays the meelee cooldown animation.  Or I die while trying to run to cover.  The only time I reliably survive meelee is when there are no other enemies in the area, and then the power synergy is wasted.

How do you play this class in meelee mode?
I looked for youtube videos and the ones I found look like vorcha gameplay, the screen is blood red all the time from no shields and there is half a health bar or so left.  If that's how it goes, it comes down to luck if some bullet ricochets from a wall and hits you.  Surely that's now how you are supposed to play this...?
