I wonder if I can talk anyone in here into a forum FAQ update mood.  In the tech forum particularly, there are just way too many currently pinned message threads and the tendency of the noobs to skip past all but the very first one or two of those is probably heightened by seeing so many. 

Personally, I tend in one or another direction of too short and perhaps blunt, versus getting too long-winded.  I can't help those tendencies in myself, and do not think I could do justice (on my own) to such a FAQ roll-up message to offer to Chris Priestley.  However, I would be very happy to assist however I might, with the grammar, whatever (& whoever).
