- Dragon Age albums are now fully functional
- fixed creation of duplicate Dragon Age albums
- a few updates to the diagnostics page
- some fixes to the backend servers for stability

Additionally we have cleaned up duplicate Dragon Age albums - if yours have gone missing, visit your player profile page and they will be re-created.

Sometime around when these changes went in, I first noticed an oddity when mouse hovering forum topics that had a certain number of pages worth of threads. For example, in an 8-page topic, the ellipses were used to replace page number 4 in the thread page count as such:

1 2 3 ... 5 6 7 8

Not expected to be an issue except that:

1) the ellipses took up more space than the single page (4) that it replaces, which appears to result in...

2) the page numbers moving to a completely new line when you hover your mouse over a given page in the thread page list. So the page number 8 I wanted to click was no longer under my cursor.

Difficult to describe this in words, but what I observed is that when trying to pick (for example) page 8 of that 8 page thread (so I could jump to the last post more readily), the number 8 moved (along with the other page numbers) to a new line and was no longer underneath my mouse cursor.

I see the same effect in the (currently) 6 page sticky post in this forum here - the post named:

DA Game Profile Diagnostics Page Available ***** 1 2 3 4 5 6

Go hover your mouse over those page numbers in that sticky and see if the digits move to a new line - away from your mouse.

Since this may very well be a browser rendering problem, I'll note the following:

I'm running Win 7x64

Firefox 3.6b5

character encoding is UTF8 which I think is the default, and

character zoom is set to default (ctrl+0 in Firefox)

Anyway, I don't think I noticed such odd behavior until January 6 and 7, but I cannot confirm if it is directly related to anything that has changed on the social.bioware.com site on Jan 5 or not.

For the record, I've also been seeing the same problem.  Same OS, Firefox 3.5.7, haven't checked the character set so I assume it's UTF-8.

I figured it out, I think.

* The web page has columns for Topic, Replies, and Last Post.
* When you hover a page number, a highlight box appears to draw attention the page number you're hovered over (good).
* The highlight box is slightly wider than the page number text however, so it moves the page number characters to the right slightly. (not so good)
So..
If the Topic text and page number sequence gets too close to the left edge of the Replies column, the entire page number sequence wraps to the next line - moving the page number characters out from under your cursor.

A possible solution then would be to ensure the highlight square matches the width of the page number text it's highlighting. I'm not a web dev so I don't know if this is possible, and I don't know if there are other ways to resolve the issue (there probably are).

btw, I don't see this as a giant problem - but I would be happy to see it added to the punch list of web site issues to fix some day. Thanks.

On an unrelated note more relevant to the changes posted in the Jan 5 site notes, I see that I delete screenshots both in-game and through the website and they keep reappearing.  I also see I still have two albums, and I can't delete one of them.

This might be tied to the fact that I have two profile IDs for my account for some reason, with a mix of achievements, characters and screenshots associated with each.  I tried deleting characters in-game, then deleting them from each profile here on the site, but... it's a mess. I assume such issues are known, but one day I hope to be able to reset all of my site stored character/album/screenshots/etc and start from scratch.  My goal is to have just one profile, with a complete set of Achievements and associated auto-generated screenshots for my character(s).

Thanks for the heads up - I've fixed the Resizing Pagination Issue on our test servers and this will be corrected in the next site build.

Issues with multiple profile are being looked into still.
