I did what the FAQ said to do, using the Manage Characters screen to delete characters.
However in my Profile Diagnostics it is showing characters I deleted both from my Xbox 360 hard drive AND the site. I thought that might just be that they haven't flushed the cache, but some of these characters I deleted a couple weeks ago at least.
I'm getting the not unusual problem of it uploading characters without the avatar as well.
I think they should probably add something to the diagnostics page allowing you to delete directly from that page, as it might help fix some things. Just spitballing here, but that might help people who are getting errors like 1005 that says it has unexpected files that were uploaded as well.
