And they certainly carry on conversations when they shift into old hags. Some might even say they talk too much.

"The current Age was not meant to be the Dragon Age. Throughout the last months of the Blessed Age, the Chantry was preparing to declare the Sun Age, named for the symbol of the Orlesian Empire, which at that time sprawled over much of the south of Thedas and controlled both Ferelden and what is now Nevarra. It was to be a celebration of Orlesian imperial glory.
But as the rebellion in Ferelden reached a head and the Battle of River Dane was about to begin, a peculiar event occurred: a rampage, the rising of a dreaded high dragon. Dragons had been thought practically extinct since the days of the Nevarran dragon hunts, and they say that to see this great beast rise from the Frostbacks was both majestic and terrifying. As the rampage began and the high dragon decimated the countryside in its search for food, the elderly Divine Faustine II abruptly declared the Dragon Age."

Yes, sunnydxmen, Dragons can talk. They speak as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if Dragons couldn't talk. It would be as dreary as if there were no sunnydxmens. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.
Not believe Dragons can speak! You might as well not believe in fairies! You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the coffeshops in Seattle to catch Dragons speaking, but even if they did not hear a Dragon talking, what would that prove? Nobody Dragons talking, but that is no sign that they do not. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that's no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world.
You may tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, sunnydxmen, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.
No Dragons speaking! Thank the Maker! they speak, and they talk incessantly. A thousand years from now, sunnydxmen, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, they will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.

"Can dragons talk?" - I'm sure there is a language used by the dragonkind that we are not yet aware of.
And they certainly carry on conversations when they shift into old hags. Some might even say they talk too much.

According to the writers, a dragon is about as intelligent as a dolphin. That suggests they can communicate with one another somewhat and could probably learn a few words of a human language.sunnydxmen wrote...
Can dragons talk
But no, nothing like the complex, abstract speech humans have.
The game is called Dragon Age because it's set in the Dragon Age. At the turn of the century, a High Dragon appeared and went on a rampage after many thought dragons were extinct. It was considered a sign, and the age was named after the event.the game is called dragon age but I'm not really seeing how it is the age of dragons unless they our walking among you in you don't know until it is too late.
