Definitely a Tevinter Magister, and I feel like the natural choice would be Feynreil (sp?).

A Kos...uh..Qunari. That Iron Bull sounded interesting.

A tough, smack talking, kick ass female elf. But not Vallana.

A grey warden, but not Stroud aka Mr. Sour Persimmons face. And last time I saw Stroud, I threatened to kill him. So...awkward.

jowan would be perfect he a blood mage imagine how Cullen would react to knowing he is working with a blood mage 2 if player is 2 ,they can have rivalry between those 2 one refusing to go on missions with the other in you have to convince them to work together.

Since he supposedly was meant to be a companion in DAO, I feel kinda cheated. Especially since it seemed like a total set up to recruit him at Redcliff, and then I couldn't, went online to find out what I did wrong, and then was very, very sad that his companion status was cut

OP, but if you feel overly subjected to him, it doesn't come from those
of us in the character appreciation thread. We've seen far more threads
against him - without any impetus on our part -  than for him. At most
we add him to our wishlist in the
threads that ask what characters we'd like to see return. He's not
mentioned more or less than any other character there. It's fine to not
like the guy but claiming you're sick of seeing his name, like we swarm
the lists making thread after thread about him says more against us than
it does the character.

I should have read your initial post before
commenting at all because I thought it was the usual anti-Cullen thread
and wanted to focus more on the actual discussions going on here and because I'm capable of ignoring Cullen hate and discussing other characters. I see
now, that I've erred in my judgment as this is worse. A gamer slandering
gamers isn't cool at all and I don't feel welcome to share my opinion on other characters, so I will leave this thread and never return.
May you never find someone blithely insulting you.

Me, personally, I would love to encounter seven-years-older Connor Guerrin. I think it'd be cool to see who he turns into. I know with the choice aspect of that it might be a little frustrating, but that's where my mind is.

There was a Connor/Teagan quest they cut from DA2. I heard the dialogue on youtube. So I would definitely like to see him....and or Teagan.

New people. And as someone mentioned before, I'd really love to have a Grey Warden companion too. Not THE Warden of course or anyone seen or met before, but a completely new character. Preferably female since I feel like we've had our share of male Grey Wardens. Alistair, Anders... But anyway, someone who takes pride in being a Warden.

Besides that.... just... new people. Of all races.

Am I the only one who does NOT want Cassandra and Cullen as companions? Cassandra is totally awesome and all and I love her but I don't really want her as a companion since she could easily be outshined by the Inquisitor and I'd rather have her be her awesome self alone or with the Seekers (and Leliana).
Cullen I don't even want to talk about. I am so tired of seeing him and everyones went panties for him everywhere.

There's a lot of potential in how the two would interact.

I'd also like a companion with a secret or hidden agenda that I don't know about right away.

I'd like someone who I can influence and/or could influence me to change minds about different topics.

Someone smart. I'd love someone knowledgeable about different things.

Actually, I hope to see Loghain again … as a possessed corpse. I got a good laugh from the first time and I could use a few more guffaws.

Hmm. I wouldn't mind having a dwarven companion is something of a cross between Oghren and Trian. Honorable, kind of caught up in tradition, but is easy-going enough (especially with alcohol) to not be snobbish or stuck-up, or a general ****** like Trian came across as before his death.

I'd want to see a completely new roster of characters, and not characters dragged pathetically back to appease fans.
