Not sure what there is to recommend. In my world, Origin is the annoying and somewhat intrusive DRM for Mass Effect 3. And that's pretty much it.

This thing's been making my ME3 crash on start-up for 4 days now, with no fix in sight.

Right, there's only one reason why we have Origin: because it's mandatory to play ME3. Aint gonna buy any other game for that beta software.

I laughed for a good five minutes the other day when it gave me the one-question survey.

Needless to say my response was a big fat "0". None of us would be using Origin if it wasn't required for PC players.

As i opened origin a couple minutes ago it asked me if i would recommend origin to frinds. choose on a scale from 1-10.

If I would recomend origin to friends I wouldn´t have any friends anymore EA. So no, I wouldn´t recomend it at all the worst piece of code if have ever seen.

I wouldn´t recommend origin not even to my worst enemys. No human being deserves something like that.

"Origin is asking me if I would recommed Origin to friends?"

This thing is so evil that now it is aware of itself and trying to spread it's evil ways through our friends list.

mmmm, no. It's still better than Games for Windows life but if asked for advice I'll answer Steam 10 times out of 10.

I picked one of the lowest scores. Seriously, that thing verifying my game+dlc at EVERY start-up is annoying. Let me play the game already! What's next? You want my biometrics, shoesize and favourite colour?

Yes, although we will gain this information from a program you cannot opt out of.

Even aside from the whole ending thing and my decision not to buy any dlc/games from EA/Bioware anymore, even if they came out with a super awesome game that I had to have, I still wouldn't buy it if it was Origin only. Origin is just that bad. So, why would I recommend Origin to my friends? They are my friends, I don't want them to have to go through everything I have to endure each time I want to play a game of ME3MP..

-Origin forces me to login three times so I can see which of my friends are online
-Origin crashes at the most inconvenient moments
-Origin randomly disconnects me
-Origin sends me the messsages my friends tried to send me yesterday, but which failed to reach me, even though we were both online
-Origin has a clunky interface and is a resource hog, forcing me to disable Origin in game, which is not much of a loss as when I used it, I usually ended up with a crash to desktop
-Origin doesn't have features that I would want from this kind of software

So, if I do get this question, it won't be a difficult choice. How is this even a question? If they don't even realise how horrible Origin is at this point, what planet are they from?

GFWL is actually misspelled.

IT should be GFML, that translates to Geez, FML.

Origin isn't half the horror GFWL was/is. as I remember I needed to change date/time on my PC to launch Gears of War.

You mean poll, not pool, I believe.

And don't even get me started on Origin. F*cking piece of crap.
And I will never forget the pain and torture that GFWL has inflicted upon me...

At least GFWL has a recent players list and the ability to message non-friends, something both Steam and Origin seem to be lacking (though Steam might have it, I haven't really looked particularly hard)
