Do NPC Enemies level as your character does, I am asking because I am at a place where a few enemies ambush you and I can't seem to kill them, I did on my previous game first time. it is the same difficulty, "Normal". thanks.

To a point, yes, they level with you. Most are consistently a few levels below you, while bosses are the same as you or a few levels higher.

Bioware implemented a level scaling system, but there are floors and ceilings. If a certain mob has a floor of level 8 and a ceiling of 12. They will scale no lower than 8, or no higher than 12.

levels are also locked to an area. so if you come to an area at level 10, all the enemies in the area will be locked at level 10 (plus or minus their rank). if it's too hard, just come back later to an area you already visited when you have gained some levels.
