I've got 255 medigels and I buy a recruit pack every time I use a consumable. I figure I will always have enough, so why not use them and put less stress on my teammates

other times, cause I'm not confident enough in my teammates

other times, yeah its rage or shame or impatience- not always though

Rage gel/shame gel. Also if I'm away from the team, trying to flank the enemy and I drop, I'll gel because I'm more likely to get stomped than not. Other times if I drop when near team mates, I can't be certain they'll try to revive me (had matches where I was the *only* one reviving peeps). On occasion, I've waited until nearly bleeding out and gel just as a team mate gets there. Makes me feel bad, but at least I'm back in the game.

Totally agree with that. Rage gel equals rage missle which equals satisfaction at blowing up the freaking swarm of stun locking nonsense staggering you constantly.

lol the other week, ran to a device because no one else was bothering to deactivate it. Cornered by phantom and turret, died. Medi gel, died again. And again. Still no one comes to help me.  Revive and then use two missiles. Go back to finish device

For those saying rage, it is not a rage gel unless followed by missiles.
I have 6 gels at 255 consumable count, why wouldn't I gel instantly.

Time spent down is time spent not playing / shooting stuff / being in first place.
Score means everything, l2p, stay in bronze.

Because rage gelling is mandatory.

Also, less time spent shooting is less time to pad my score because as we all know the scoreboard is everything.

Because I want to get back up and kill things without waiting to get revived. I have plenty of gel anyway so it is not a big deal for me.

couple reasons:

- i get pissed i went down, and i want payback

- team is in a firefight and i think it's better for the team to keep the attention on the enemy

- i tried to use an ops pack and even though the game registered i pushed the button (heard the sound & number went down by 1), it didnt work & i died....which now has pissed me off and i gotta take it out on something

The main motivation for me is trust, as in "I do not trust you".
I do not trust you can get me up without dying
I do not trust the other 2 to be able to hold out for the 5 seconds you take to run over to revive me
I do not trust you will get me up before i get stomped
I do not trust you will even revive me
I do not trust you period

Basically, play enough pugs and you'll get what i mean. Also i have 6 and mostly end up with at least 2 at wave 11

I use gel instantly when I've put myself in a bad situation I don't want my teammates to have to go into (ex.: 2 Primes playing stun party on my corpse).

I gel right before invader nemesis can revive me, cause revives get you laid and i clam-jam her

1)With as stomp-happy as enemies are these days, they believe it's a smarter idea to get off the ground NOW rather than wait and see.

2)They're sick and tired of not being revived even by people standing right next to them, who proceed to stand on their corpse and keep killing things on the other side of the map. So they just gel now rather than having to wait for the bleed out to get close.

3)There was a time where if you gelled too close to the bleed out time, it would glitch and you'd end up in the "Jesus Pose" where you can't do jack squat. They might not realize that that's been fixed.
