I tend to do it when I'm downed in line of sight of a turret, no need luring my team to their death.
Why do you people use medigel the INSTANT you go down?

I think that is people concerned about score. I did do it once because I didn't want to miss two guardians that took me down on gold. Man are they scarce if you don't farm solo.
I don't understand when people gel in waves 1 or 2 unless something silly happened like everyone was down to a poss abomination or scion. I always wait a bit and gel only if about to be stomped or other people go down. In objective waves I gel sooner because that is what is most important.

It's not about rage for me, I just don't want people angry at me for having to pick me up.
So I guess it is about rage, but from the other side.

If I really quickly use my medi-gel after going down, it's probably because I made a really stupid mistake to cause my death and I see it as a form of punishment to myself.

It's rather annoying when they use medi-gel, when it's clear that they could get revived.
It wastes medi-gel, so no self-reviving on the later rounds.
Though at the same time, I can see why. Sometimes, when I get downed in a certain way, I feel that either I have to redeem myself from the mistake I made, or I have to get revenge for some reason.

I do it because I rarely go down and have plenty of gel. Why wait?

Because I'm "whatever you said... in dee pen dant."
Also, I'm laying there in a bloody haze, can't see or hear squat. How do I know where my team mates are unless they are standing right next to me?

That. And because f**k you, that's why. It's my gel, if I want to rage-res myself I'm doing it. I never get irked with people who gel, it just means either you're committed or you're angry enough that you're committed whether you like it or not.
