Why are so many people playing gold PUGs when they clearly can't hold their own?

That being said, iv seen some terribly stupid people doing stupid things, these are the guys who idolize leeroy jenkins and think jumping into hot burning lava is hilarious so running up and headbutting a fully shielded banshee repeatedly is probably on the low end of the stupid stick for some of these guys. Until I have a 'eject retard' on my power wheel I'll just have to do like everyone else, keep playing and give people the benefit of the doubt after all its the human condition to hope for something better.

ME3 MP Apprentice Program
Group in my sig if you feel you can train somebody to be decent, give it a shot, take on a pupil or 3 and make them good players...if you can ^_-, I wanna improve community and players all round basis and I noticed similar things but sometimes these people get too frustrated and move back to comfy zone, we need to get them out of it and make anew comfy zone, make them capable and understanding
who agrees?
this isn't about carrying it's about "caring" so they won't be "carried" anymore

Please justify/explain the difference between a Pug random & VerySeed (Both with no gear or consumables)?
I think you mean you despise double standards.
But I have no problems with them.
Here is a list of things I'll do with people I know and not random people online:
1) Pick them up when their car breaks down.
2) Make them soup when they're sick.
3) House sit their dog.
4) Sit through a Twilight marathon.
5) Carry them game after game with no irritation.

Damn, what's up your ass? What's it to you if Sirian wants to drag my scrub ass through some gold games?
Then again, the responses from Sirian/Maria Caliban sum up the situation pretty well.
TBH I have just returned to the Forum and am too lazy to trawl back through the thread to find the pertinent replies.
However, I will just say that it seems comical to me that people on here complain about randoms playing Gold with low level weapons and no consumables.
I personally don't care but a lot of people here seemingly would have kicked you before the match begun.
Someone tried to in one of our games. I politely asked them not to try to kick my friend. :innocent: Like I said, I basically don't kick anyone unless they're griefing.

Sometimes, I think stuff like that's bad. They see an extraction, and they don't know they got carried. They think to themselves, "Gold is fine, you just need a good team!"
I'm not saying I think that everyone should be able to carry if they want to play Gold, because there are plenty of players that can't carry but don't have to BE carried. Sometimes, though, I think people just don't realize that they're a weak link, and I think they don't sort it out because they get carried.

You asked people in your text chat thread to actually read the OP. How about you try that yourself...Draining Dragon wrote...

I'm in that group, and I think the majority Gold players are too. If Gold were restricted to only people who can carry, there wouldn't be many matches to go around. The problem is that the number of people who do have to be carried is larger than the number of people who CAN carry. And that's how Gold PUGS turn ugly quick.Zero132132 wrote...

I think the funniest thing about that was that i still outscored them, even after they rocketed spawns on wave 11, and that kroguard stayed out of every objective trying to pad his score.

Because the difficulty gap between Silver and Gold is too wide. You can be too good for Silver but not good enough for Gold
This is true for me. I play almost exclusively on silver. I'm grinding towards the promotions N7 banner so i do go bronze for level 1-10 characters, or also to goof around with some good friends ive made on here when we just want to mess about and not care what happens in the match.
I go into gold on rare occasions because otherwise i'm never going to learn how to get good enough there by sticking to silver matches. Unfortunately at this point its still v reliant on how good the other players are. If theyre awful then we'll wipe, otherwise Ive made it to extraction on most matches, but yes Im prob being carried to some extent (usually the bottom score, but i do use consumables, willing to use as many medigel as necessary) so i dont go into gold that often.

This. It's what I'm doing. We were all there, so I gebe the benefit of a doubt. Lets not forget that lag, bad RNG store luck, cheap enemies (Geth), nerfs, all play a role; they are likely not BSNers, so they never know until its too lateCapnManx wrote...
At least some of them are probably trying to stop sucking. You get good at Gold by playing Gold.
