All 5 had better be bisexual and available for an in-camp orgy as soon as the campaign starts.
Ha!
I was actually thinking this myself. Just image the drama you've opened up with this question.

Heard you can play your own character if you survived.

However tis would be a lie, because unless Bioware decides to sell the book detailing what happens, we do not know. But tis always fun to think of what could or couldn't be. I know when you got Shale as a new party member there were several options to talk to him in detail.
Had you got a new woman in your party besides Wynn, then I'm sure you would be able to romance her along with Lenia and Morrgian, in short..I believe so yes, in 15 hours of avaerage game time play. Why wouldn't they

Not sure about Morrigan but things start to get nasty so she is bound to be at least mentioned
Hey, maybe even we will see her...child...thoughts?

Depends on what you consider a proper relationship.

The 15 hours doesn't matter as much as the actual time the game spans across. I don't know though, I'm split on it. Part of me thinks there will be some sort of possibility, the other part is this expansion focuses strictly on Warden business and it might be better to not get emotionally involved with your new recruits. We'll see.
The Blight was serious business, an entire army was destroyed. A kingdom was on the brink of civil war and the darkspawn had a large army marching to the city to destroy everyone. However even though considering all that. There was still room
To Romance both Morrgian and lenina. Well In truth I do not know, and I agree 15 hours of game play doesn't matter as long as you are enjoying it. I certaintly will not be looking at the clock while i am replaying the game. I actually see it more then a days worth of game play considering
You can start as a new gray warden, or extort your profile. I will be doing both, the second one first. I think the responses will be different if you are a noble, elf, etc. The replay factor will be great

So I read there would be 5 new party members in Awakening... Any word on whether any of them is romanceable ? I'm guessing not since 15 hours might not be enough to establish a proper relationship, but still...
HoTU was able to do it with Nathyrra/Aribeth/Valen, and that was about 20 hours or so, so it's possible.
I just hope they continue/acknowledge the existing ones.

It would ruin the game a bit if they don't, even if the romance partner is an NPC. Really, since the romances are so complete in DA:O, I'm not sure I'd want to even travel with my romance partner. My big fear is I'll have Alistair to tend the campfire again as the old companion. Most of my PCs are tanks -- the only time Alistair comes with me, actually, is when I need to feed him to the archdemon. And I like the guy, but if I need a second tank, there are better choices.

Also for those whom character's lover they have lost, could be Morrigan, Alistair who ever the character was in romance with that either dies or disappears.
For people who survived and still have a lover with one of the character, I guess it doesn't mean that much, since they already got one. But I bet that spite that a lot would be happy to try new romance out.

Which of course causes Zevran's sex senseto start tingling and he comes to investigate, unlocking him as the sixth character.

I am glad my character still has her lover, so she doesn't have to go around looking for his corpse in a rather big world.fantasypisces wrote...
I would not partake in any romance until I know for sure what happened to Leliana. My other characters who romanced Morrigan may, sort of screaming for attention and an actual loving relationship. But my main character 9DW warrior), would not, unless I see Leliana's corpse or have solid evidence that she has died or left me for good.
I am pretty sure we will hear a little about the old team members. Would rather suck and ruin the game a bit if it wasn't possible.
I even think it could be interesting if you start as the new Warden and you help Alistair rebuild the warden, and then one day, you will get a dialog about Alistair's past, and Alistair will then tell you about his one and only love (your old character if you were a female and romanced him) how sad he is that she is dead and such. Would surprise me if your old character was mention somewhere by someone (if you died at the dragon ofc)
But luckily both my character and Alistair is alive, and romanced.

Yeah Romeo and Juliet and Casablanca are rubbish romances because they only last two hours.

Well besides that i dont really have any romance interest in any of the characters. The Dalish elf is actually getting hit on pretty hard by Howe's son (constant flirting omg... he lays it on so thick with her)
Then theres the dwarf.... hmm no.... I would've hit up that female knight that was a prospective Grey Warden but she had to die....
