[Draining Dragon]

I've tried the Asari Adept, with builds other than Warp>Throw (since the Human Sentinel does that better). Stasis>Throw is completely ineffective against armored targets. Speccing for both Stasis and Warp is ineffective against anything.

What am I doing wrong? These powers just seem to be a really bad combination together.

Then, there's the Phoenix Adept. The Vanguard is fine, with a viable build that involves the ability that his counterpart doesn't have. I've tried speccing into singularity on the Adept, and I can only conclude that it's a totally useless class. Singularity is a mediocre power against anything with armor, and Lash is awesome, but also a mediocre power against armor. A Smash and Lash build seems really pointless, considering his bro the Vanguard has both those abilities.

Is there any good build for the Phoenix Adept that involves Singularity?

ALL of the Adepts are good classes, but the Asari and Phoenix lag behind when compared to the other ones.

Use warp ammo.

The singularity primes an area and then you use smash to set off explosions, You should be using an acolyte to strip shields quickly. I would spec out of lash.

Everything.

For both kits you should spec 4 ranks into stasis/singularity, 6 in the other two abilities,  and 5/5 in passive/fitness...
Or whatever floats your boat.

Point is, don't skip powers, use them together.

Asdept:
-Mook: Stasis->Carnifexheadshot
-Boss: Warp->Throw


Phoenix:
-Mook (group): Singu->Lash/Smahs depending how close
-Mook (single): Lash->melee
-Boss: Singu->Smash

the thing is, adepts can be week on their own. but when you put four of them together... look out reapers

I love the Cerb Adept and here's my build:

Spec for short singularity and biotic smash (for armor and shield too).
Grab the eviscerator (190% CD and decent celean-up)
Singularity->Smash->Explosion->Smash->Singularity Explodes-> Explosion
Use Singularity->Lash for long range BEs
Use Smashgularity (lol) for bosses and armored foes.
Spam Lash for mooks.

fyi with both kits speced exactly the same, the asari adept has higher power damage than the human sentinel. the human has higher weapon damage than the asari. but only slightly on both. at +200% the cooldown is the same. with heavy weapons, the sentinel will have a faster cooldown...... but why you would do that, i dont know.

The Drell Adept and the BroAdept are top notch classes... so is the Justicar/Fury. Human Adept/Kroadept are also very good... Phoenix Adept, I never got the hang of it.

Warp Ammo is your friend, always equip it. Also.. power amps.

You're going to play them one of three ways:

1. Keep a short cooldown and go for as many Biotic Explosions as possible

2. Take a strong weapon with Warp ammo, prime targets with your powers and mow them down with your gun.

3. Combine options 1 & 2... and dominate.

To put it mildly, thats like speccing out of either ED or PM on an SI.

3/6/6/5/6 is a rockin' build for the AA...

Max Stasis is not needed IMO... it's just a utility power. It also sets up headshots which do incredible damage with Warp ammo since the target is primed.

i just put 3 points in stasis on the asari adept, mostly use it for phantoms/marauders/geth mooks....

bubble is for the vanguard IMO.

It helps to play with more adepts in the team. If you are the lone adept in a team of engineers, might as well switch to an engineer. And fk 200 pc cooldown, arm yourself till you get 100% CD bonus. Thats enough for gold +.

Dont entirely rely on powers as they can be slow at killing enemies - keep firing and casting. Most powers stagger do you can get a free headshot. A Piranha or Wraith is a must if you are not a pure power user and struggle. No shame is going armed to the teeth as an adept.

Back when everybody is struggling to beat bronze the Asari adept is my favorite character. Before they introduced dragoon stasis was actually an extremely effective power against Cerberus. Blame the armor. Now my favorite "adept" is the AHI.

asari justicar with capped damage reave,  warp ammo and an assault rifle is a dps monster.

This game is too focused on shooting..so power based & melee based classes generally suck

The Asari have, imo, the best dodge in the game. The AA will always be a strong character, though she has been overshadowed by many. Plus, she is more fun to look at than the Sentinel.

The Phoenix Adept is one of my favorite Adepts. He is very powerful with Warp Ammo (I use a Wraith on him). An interesting thing I read recently is that he can actually chain combo. Singularity > Lash (BE) > Smash (BE). I dont' know if anything other than a Phantom could survive that, but still cool to know, I guess.

Lash is effective on Gold and lower, and situationally effective on Platinum.

Smash is a ridiculously powerful ability, and it goes through walls. The need to wall bang makes this class a little map dependant though.

I go with a 6/6/6/5/3 build myself, toying with the thought of a no-Fitness build with him.
