Should have added this but to the OP no we weren't deceived by any stretch of the imagination. They said they would look into it and they honestly don't have to detail the intricacies of why it's not being put in.

I am sort of sad we don't get the feature but if it means one less way for trolls to be trolls, then so be it.

BioWare kept most promises and exceeded expectations with their COOP. Honestly the community here should be more grateful. If you're looking at false promises look no further than *cough*DICE*cough* - the mythical spectator mode, battlerecorder, commander mode and PC lead platform for Battlefield 3.

So honestly, having seen what some developers do to their fanbase, Bioware have all my respect in that department. At least when it comes to the multiplayer. Can't say the same for the campaign though...

I feel the same in regards to the MP v SP departments. MP is great, SP in 3 was less than expected and underwhelming sadly.

Still love the first two me games though.

The class isn't unplayable for you. You choose not to play it because the drawbacks do not outweigh the benefits in your mind. Hunter mode bothered me at first too but I dealt with it and now I don't even notice it. It's a great way to balance a very powerful skill.

I would have to disagree on that point.

Something that causes people physical discomfort or even pain is the worst possible way to balance an ability in a video game, and I suspect that is not the reason why they did it.

Bioware didn't balance the skill with the filter in order to inflict pain on anyone trying to use it, only an idiot (or perhaps a troll) could read what I typed and come to that conclusion. The visual filter doesn't cause pain or discomfort in the vast majority of people who use it, rather it clutters the screen and disrupts what a player is used to. Once you get used to the new filter and clutter this becomes a non-issue.

Basing your argument on the assumption that every class needs to be tailored so that even the tinest minority of people who have issue with it will use it is pure folly. Should we make the game playable using voice commands only because using a mkb or console controller hurts some people's hands?

I think it's terrible to balance the pleasure of playing the game with the pain of using something other than my voice to play it.

Hunter mode is fine. It's not something every single player wants to use, it's not even something every single player should be used... and that's just fine.

It gives me intense headaches. Tactical cloak should launch spikes from your mouse/controller by your argument Sabbatine. The class is borderline useless if you dont spec into its draw skill, it becomes eh. It's like playing a vanguard without charge, and having charge punch you in the crotch every time you use it.

No it shouldn't. It's not my fault (or problem) that you have some small issue with one of the dozens of skills in the game. I'm not part of the extreme minority who has some issue using a mkb or console controller to play. If I was, I wouldn't demand Bioware change the entire game or my desired class so that I could play using voice commands only. That would just be stupid.

Sometimes the simple act of looking at a screen for an hour gives someone extreme headaches regardless of what is on it, what should Bioware do for these people?

I think this thread proves that if you don't have answers you shouldn't enter the discussion. Lest you want to engage in a circular and mutually frustrating discussion.

I know this thread is a tad old, but I made a Text chat mod that used the unreal engine 3's debugging text sender that worked. It was clunky and only could use pre-made lines but it worked.
Bioware took it down almost immediately saying "We'll get back to you", and then they never did. I figure it's because they don't like the idea of having text chat at all. I found it quite irritating that they entirely ignored me, saying "We'll make a statement soon", back in October or November.
