It's kind of annoying. I sometimes wanna play a chill gold game but people switch to the most effective killing machine with harrier. Game starts and I get followed and get my kills stolen by a try hard-_- almost as if to compete with me...

Yeah, tis kind of annoying - like when you play a game and score high then peeps switch to their most killy setup (technical term there) in what seems to be a sort of point making thing =S

Whenever I end up in a lobby with a good player or two, I switch to a kit I'm not great with so they can carry me

Never played with a known high-scorer, but if I saw one enter the lobby I would of course switch to something that is extremely effective. How else are you going to get to kill anything? Gold suddenly switches from a challenge to extract to a challenge to score the most points.

Ugh, that term has made it to the ME3 MP now?

It's a damn co-op game. If you're that focused on kills, and can't handle other players "stealing" them from you, play solo.

if i get a try hard in my matches i just run around sucking my thumb let them get kills while i mentally masturbate or some ****... easy creds because someone feels like they have to get all the kills, sure i'll leach off u guys any day

its a BSN thing. Anytime i've played with someone from the forum for the 1st time they always seem to go with high powered setups and really give it there all. IDK why. usually they fall back into the chill classes after a bit though. I guess 1st impression?

 I`ve done this before...........Jay was in lobby, played one game, switched to my paladin. Played another game, and then actually put on equipment. Played another game, promoted my adepts, and took a lvl 1 stasis asari in to back him up instead.................... had 2nd highest score:pinched:

I'm not focused on kills. I only play pugs when I want to relax. When I want a serious challenge then I solo.
I can handle kill stealers it's just annoying:mellow:

This happens to me all the time, the reason is because they don't want to look bad in front of you and they might be wanting to "impress" you, same happens to other known players and also developers.

I remember one day that I got into a random lobby and the guy there knew me and immediately changed his character to GI + Pirahna...

I want to win matches full stop.

If my squadmates are all equiped with the harrier with the N7 Destroyer, I am confident in the teams chance of success.
I'll happly beat gold with a low score in 4th place, than lose gold with a high score in 1st place.

Was it your reputation as a player, or your reputation for a bad connetion though that promted that?
