I'm not sure why people change to the try hard classes everytime I appear in lobbies... Is it just me or this happens to some of you too??????

Or it could just be that you have a high N7/Challenge score and they assume they'll have to bring their A-game to hang with you.

I just don't want to look bad in from of one of you BSN celebrities. I need to impress you, otherwise my life is meaningless.
alternativly , you could just do what I do and admit that your life is meaningless
If I can outscore one of BSN's top players, I know it'll make me a better player.

They sent me messages like "it was great playing with the great INVADERONE". I responded kindly as the messages were too generic for me to take it any other way but every kill I went for they were hardcore killing even when the character had one bar and I was right in front of it. LOL. Its all good. I have nothing to prove and I guess its a fun thing for people to "outscore" BSN'ers etc.

Assuming they actually do know who you are, or even what the BSN is (you might be surprised who few actually bother with game forums), I can't say I'd blame anyone for wanting to do well. Have you noticed the amount of "zomg, randoms are all full of suck and fail" threads in this place? So people see someone who's known on the forums and they don't want to end up the topic of one of those threads.

Challenge points/N7 means little. People should know that by now.
Met a quite few people with high score that preformed badly.

I don't disagree and I've had the same experience, but with few effective metrics for people to judge by, they're not going to stop doing it any time soon.

Though equipment aside if im on a active combat class (and not my volus adept) and someones close to me in score I dont mind it just means we are doing very well, but now and then the 'neck and neck' situation seems to cause some idjit to randomly start missiling stuff in hopes of outstriping me and thats what I hate such a waste.

And I've had a few people recognise me, never had anyone deliberately switch to a try hard class or attempt to outscore me.

Gotta grind 'em waves anyway. May as well chuck on a Viper or play my Phoenixdept in a game I know is pretty much guaranteed to be successful (on gold).

I am plenty sure that a lot of people you play with don't recognize you at all (after all, BSN is a tiny tiny sample of the gaming base) and the "try hard" classes they switch to are a coincidence. Plus, how do you know which are their try hard classes - e.g. I, for example, suck with the GI and I have only switched to him when I've seen a super good, armed to the teeth player who can shoulder the game if my game is a bit epic fail~y.
Also, if they DID switch indeed on purpose from recognizing you, I totally wouldn't blame them because you'll see here a daily dose of "Oh look, I carried players x, y, and z to victory" topics. If you are an average player with one of the "weaker" kits and you are playing with a great player with Harrier X GI... good luck getting any kills at all. Which of course does not mean at all that you were carried by said player, since your team could have gone without him (and depends on the circumstances) even had more fun doing it. So I guess they just may have wanted to be useful (and not get shamed in another moronic thread here).

Same here, that's the smart way to go. Those waves with specific chars are not gonna grind themselves.

I used to think trying to win was a good thing. Sure am glad I came to these forums. Now I lose but know I'm cool.
Yeah, right?! With all those "PUGs suck" topics, you'd think people would be happy when PUGs finally equip themselves to the teeth and bring their best characters for easy credits.
